The State Police CNET Team, State troopers, Chenango County Sheriff’s Office and State DEC executed a search warrant at 163 Sherman Hill Rd in the Town of Afton, following an investigation into the sale of methamphetamine. 36-year-old Matthew Mazepa, & 21-year-old Taylor Quackenbush of Afton were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers seized crystal methamphetamine, marihuana, Digital scales, drug packaging material cash & cell phones. Mazepa was arraigned in Afton Town Court and remanded to the Chenango County Jail without bail. Quackenbush was issued Appearance Tickets for Afton Town Court and released.
The New York State Department of Labor today released preliminary local area unemployment rates for October 2017. Locally, Chenango County's rate was at 4.7%, Delaware County at 4.8% & Otsego County at 4.3%. The State’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased from 4.9% to 4.8% in October 2017.
Governor Cuomo announced the completion of a $1.7 million project to replace the State Route 28 bridge over State Route 7 and the Norfolk Southern Railroad in the town of Milford. The bridge opened to traffic today, just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. The new bridge is a two-span structure supported by steel and concrete beams. It has 12-foot travel lanes and eight-foot shoulders in each direction. Approximately 5,200 vehicles use the Route 28 bridge each day.
Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a one-car roll over with property damage on Case Hill Road in Treadwell on November 6th. Deputies determined that William Rathbun’s vehicle left the roadway, entered into a ditch & rolled over and stuck a utility pole, which caused a minor power outage. Rathbun was ticketed for failure to keep right, speed unreasonable and prudent, & possession of a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle. Rathbun will appear in the Town of Franklin Court at a later date.
The Afton Central School District Board of Education has invited 2 candidates to interview for the Superintendent position. A forum for each candidate will be held next week, with the forum with Daniel Erickson; who is the middle school principal in Johnson City, will be November 28th, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM in the Afton Central School auditorium. Timothy McNamara is the principal in the Downsville Central School District; his public forum will be on November 30th from 5:30 to 6:30 PM in the Afton Central School auditorium.
The State DMV, the DEC and the State Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation are reminding New Yorkers to register their snowmobiles. Snowmobile registrations must be renewed annually, it can be performed online on the DMV website, by mail or in person at a DMV office. Last year, 106,867 snowmobiles were registered in New York.
The Oneonta Common Council will hold their next regular meeting this evening starting at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be held in the Common Council Chamber on the 2nd floor of Oneonta City Hall. The Oneonta clerk's office announced that City Hall would be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on both Thursday & Friday this week.
The Village of Bainbridge announced that there would be 2 public hearings in addition to the regular monthly Board meeting. The hearings are for the new Spectrum contract and the resolution for the Restore NY grant application. All residents are encouraged to attend this evening at 6:30 PM at 33 West Main Street.

DiNapoli said New Yorkers should use their gift cards within a year of purchase to avoid inactivity fees and register cards with the retailers that offer it so the owner can be identified. Money from unused gift cards issued by New York businesses is turned over to the State Comptroller’s office as abandoned property after five years of dormancy.

Governor Cuomo today announced 169 conditional awards to agencies in 47 counties across the state, that will provide support services and operating funding for at least 1,200 units of supportive housing for homeless persons with special needs, conditions or other challenges. The awards are part of the $2.6 Billion, 5-Year plan to develop 6,000 units of Supportive Housing, in the Southern Tier, funding will go to the YWCA Binghamton, Family Enrichment Network in Broome County & Catholic Charities of Chenango County
Chenango County Sheriff's department arrested 65-year-old Edith Butler of Bainbridge for leaving a companion animal inside a vehicle during extreme conditions at a Norwich business. Deputies responded to find 2 dogs locked inside a car with insufficient ventilation for about 90 minutes. The dogs were then removed from the vehicle and appeared to be in good health. Butler was issued an appearance ticket for a later date in the Town of Norwich Court.
Sidney Village Officials announced that Main Street, between Smith Street & Cartwright Avenue would be closed tomorrow to traffic, between the hours of 8:00 AM & 4:00 PM. Crews will be digging trenches in that area for new electric service, as part of the Main Street Revitalization Program. All Main Street businesses will be open their normal Hours Thursday & will be accessible for customers.
The Broome County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Shane Karika of Castle Creek, after Deputies responded on October 5th, to the report of a pick up truck stuck on Railroad Tracks in the town of Fenton. The truck had been reported stolen from a business in the Town of Vestal on September 17th, Witnesses reported that a male had walked away from the truck and down the tracks. Deputies located Karika, he was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, and he was turned over to the Vestal Police Department for further investigation & possible additional charges.

Governor Cuomo announced $23 million in grants to support 12 essential drinking water and waste-water infrastructure projects throughout the Southern Tier. These grants are part of a $255 million statewide investment, funded through the Water Infrastructure Improvement Act, as well as the new Inter-municipal Water Infrastructure Grants Program. The Cities of Norwich & Binghamton, and the towns of Oxford & Roxbury will be receiving a portion of those funds for water infrastructure upgrades.
Vestal Police arrested a Mount Upton man Tuesday following a complaint of a burglary at a Vestal home in August. 31 year old Bryan Vasseur of Mount Upton is accused of acting as a real estate agent when he illegally entered the house, and leased the propoerty, while receiving a fee. Vasseur was charged with 3rd degree burglary & 4th degree Grand Larceny, he was arraigned in Town of Vestal Court Tuesday and was returned to the Broome County Jail where he was already being held on another charge.
The Oneonta Town Board will have a public hearing tonight on proposed revisions to the town's sign ordinance. The hearing will be at the start of the regular monthly meeting in Town Hall, West Oneonta, at 7 p.m.

The fire broke out in Tuesday afternoon in a vintage boxcar on the Cooperstown & Charlotte Valley track near the Milford depot. Several Area Fire companies responded to the fire that was battled into Tuesday Evening. Investigators labeled the fire as suspicious, no arrests have been announced.

State Police Superintendent George Beach has promoted Captain William McEvoy to the rank of Major and has assigned him to the position of Troop Commander at Troop C in Sidney. Major McEvoy started his career in 1984 as a trooper and was first assigned to Troop C; in 1989 McEvoy was promoted to Investigator and assigned to the Drug Enforcement Task Force in New York City. In 1991, he returned to Troop C, where he spent the majority of his years with the State Police, his most recent assignment was BCI Captain.
33-Year-Old Tory Brown of Columbus was arrested by Chenango County sheriff’s Deputies for unlawful possession of marihuana, criminal possession of a weapon and aggravated unlicensed operation. Brown was charged following a traffic stop in the Village of New Berlin for operating a motor vehicle while having his driving privileges suspended, marijuana and a weapon were located in the vehicle. Brown was arraigned in the Town of New Berlin Court and was remanded to Chenango County Jail on cash bail pending future court action.
The State Education Department should improve its process to investigate serious complaints against nurses and more actively monitor professional misconduct, according to an audit released today by State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli. The investigations of “priority 1” complaints against nurses, which includes offenses such as sexual misconduct, practicing under the influence of alcohol or physical abuse, are supposed to be completed within 42 days. Auditors found that on average it took 228 days to complete such investigations, SED officials acknowledged the risks noted by DiNapoli’s auditors and cited steps to address them. Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested 46-year-old Kristin Slater of Sherburne for aggravated driving while intoxicated, following an accident in a parking lot of a local business in the Village of Sherburne. Slater is accused of striking 2-parked cars in the parking lot; her BAC was more than three times the legal limit. Slater was arrested and processed without indent and later released on tickets for a return date in the Village of Sherburne Court in October.
The Delaware County Board of Elections announced that Friday October 13th, is the last day to postmark a registration form to vote in the November 7th General Election. Also, October 13th is the last day for the Board of Elections to receive an enrollment change to be effective for 2018. In Delaware County this year, Offices up for Election include Supreme Court Justice, County Sheriff, County Clerk, County Treasurer and many town offices. Officials also stated that the Sidney Center poll site change: Districts 1 & 3 voters will vote at the New Sidney Center Fire Department Building. Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Stephen Duvall for criminal possession of stolen property, following the report of a stolen golf cart was being operated in the Village of New Berlin. When Deputies responded a local resident had stopped Duvall & the golf cart by blocking him in with his personal vehicle, the cart had been reported stolen in Otsego County. Duvall was arrested and was turned over to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation; he faces court action in New Berlin Court on October 16th.
On Saturday October 14th Delaware County Public Health and the Village of Sidney Police will be holding a free Car Seat Safety Event at McDonalds in Sidney, from 9AM-12PM. The free event will educate parents and caregivers on proper car seat installation and use. The Otsego County Chamber of Commerce will host the "Opioid Crisis Enters the Workplace" presentation today in Oneonta. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced the appointment of Pete Lopez to become Regional Administrator for Region 2. Lopez will oversee environmental protection efforts in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Lopez has served as a member of the New York State Assembly since 2007.
This Sunday will be the 24th Annual Pit Run in Neawah Park in Oneonta. The race is held each year in memory of State Police Investigator Ricky Parisian, who was killed in the Line of Duty attempting to stop an armed Robbery in Oneonta. The Pit Run begins on the Main Street Bridge between Market and River Streets, passes through the SUNY Oneonta campus and ends at Neahwa Park. 33-Year-Old Tory Brown of Columbus was arrested by Chenango County sheriff’s Deputies for unlawful possession of marihuana, criminal possession of a weapon and aggravated unlicensed operation. Brown was charged following a traffic stop in the Village of New Berlin for operating a motor vehicle while having his driving privileges suspended, marijuana and a weapon were located in the vehicle. Brown was arraigned in the Town of New Berlin Court and was remanded to Chenango County Jail on cash bail pending future court action.
The State Education Department should improve its process to investigate serious complaints against nurses and more actively monitor professional misconduct, according to an audit released today by State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli. The investigations of “priority 1” complaints against nurses, which includes offenses such as sexual misconduct, practicing under the influence of alcohol or physical abuse, are supposed to be completed within 42 days. Auditors found that on average it took 228 days to complete such investigations, SED officials acknowledged the risks noted by DiNapoli’s auditors and cited steps to address them. Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested 46-year-old Kristin Slater of Sherburne for aggravated driving while intoxicated, following an accident in a parking lot of a local business in the Village of Sherburne. Slater is accused of striking 2-parked cars in the parking lot; her BAC was more than three times the legal limit. Slater was arrested and processed without indent and later released on tickets for a return date in the Village of Sherburne Court in October.
The Delaware County Board of Elections announced that Friday October 13th, is the last day to postmark a registration form to vote in the November 7th General Election. Also, October 13th is the last day for the Board of Elections to receive an enrollment change to be effective for 2018. In Delaware County this year, Offices up for Election include Supreme Court Justice, County Sheriff, County Clerk, County Treasurer and many town offices. Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Stephen Duvall for criminal possession of stolen property, following the report of a stolen golf cart was being operated in the Village of New Berlin. When Deputies responded a local resident had stopped Duvall & the golf cart by blocking him in with his personal vehicle, the cart had been reported stolen in Otsego County. Duvall was arrested and was turned over to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation; he faces court action in New Berlin Court on October 16th.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced the appointment of Pete Lopez to become Regional Administrator for Region 2. This Sunday will be the 24th Annual Pit Run in Neawah Park in Oneonta. The race is held each year in memory of State Police Investigator Ricky Parisian, who was killed in the Line of Duty attempting to stop an armed Robbery in Oneonta. Norwich Police arrested 55-year-old John Stacy of Norwich for Possessing Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child & Failure to register as a Sex Offender. Stacy is accused of possessing pornographic materials containing children under the age of 16 & failing to notify authorities of his social media accounts within the required 10 day period for registered Level 2 sex offenders. Stacy was arraigned in Norwich City Court & was remanded to the Chenango County Jail on $50.000 cash bail pending court action on September 19th.
Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 42 year old Brad Stafford of Sidney Center, on an arrest warrant from the Town of Hancock Court, where he had been charged with 4th degree Grand Larceny. Stafford is accused of stealing more than $1800 from his employer by selling bluestone owned by his employer and retaining the payment it. Stafford was arraigned at the Town of Hancock Court and was released on recognizance on that charge, Stafford was returned to the Delaware County Jail where he is being held on an unrelated matter.

28-year-old Joshua Shurock of Norwich was sent to jail without bail, after being accused of assaulting a police officer & possession of heroin. Shurock was arrested last Thursday; he allegedly injured a Norwich officer while being arrested on the drug charge. The officer was treated & released at Chenango Memorial Hospital. Shurock was remanded back to jail pending future court action.
Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 36-year-old Seth Maki of Minnesota, with Criminal Impersonation; he is accused of falsely identifying himself to Deputies at the Delaware County Fair. Maki was arraigned in the Village of Walton Court and was remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility on $500 cash bail.
State Police arrested 28-year-old Todd Matias of Harpursville for Felony DWI, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1& several other traffic violations, after a trooper heard a vehicle with a loud exhaust on State Route 79, in the town of Colesville. The officer determined that Matias was driving while intoxicated, had a suspended driver's license, and an expired vehicle registration. Matias refused to submit to a breath test to determine his blood alcohol content, he was arraigned in the town of Colesville court, and was remanded to the Broome County jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.

Johnson was arraigned in the town of Oneonta court and was remanded to the Otsego county jail on $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond, pending September 12th court action.

In 2010, Briana Ojeda suffered an asthma attack while playing at a playground, on the way to the hospital; Briana's mother was stopped by a police officer who was unable to perform CPR. Briana died shortly after she got to the hospital. The new law will go into effect in 60 days.

Norwich Police & the Chenango County Sheriff's Office arrested 30 year old Joshua Harrington & 29 year old Coy Biviano, for the alleged sales of heroin and cocaine. Both were charged with the Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance, they were arraigned in Norwich City Court. Harrington was sent to the Chenango County Jail on $10,000 bail, while Biviano is being held without bail.
State Police Superintendent George Beach today reminded the public that there is only one week remaining to apply for the new State Trooper entrance examination, which will be held this fall. Online applications for the exam must be submitted before September 1, 2017, and interested candidates can sign up at www.nytrooper.com. The exam will be held on October 7, October 14, October 21, and October 28, 2017, at several convenient locations around the state.

Boerner was charged with Criminal Trespass & Criminal Mischief, after he allegedly entered a residence without permission and smashed a window out of a vehicle. The Delaware County Fair will run from August 14th to the 19th this year at the fairgrounds in Walton.
The Broome County District Attorney's office announced that a Broome County Grand Jury handed up a 16-count indictment for 64 year old Ramadan Abdullah of Johnson City. Abdullah was indicted on 15 counts of criminal possession of a weapon, & Petty larceny, police seized numerous weapons from a storage unit & other proerties belonging to Abdullah last month, including pistols, assault rifles, thousands of rounds of ammo, several firearm parts and flak jackets. Abdullah was sent back to the Broome County Jail pending future court action.
Wayne Spratley of Greene is facing Hate Crime charges again, following an appeal by prosecutors to a Chenango County Court ruling to throw them out. Spratley is a State Corrections officer who was charged in connection with a July 2015 attempted murder of a black man in a city of Norwich parking lot; Spratley allegedly used racial slurs at the victim before the shooting.
Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 19-year-old Dakota Coffey of Walton, for petty larceny & criminal mischief for allegedly entering a Masonville stone quarry & damaging equipment. Coffey was arraigned in Masonville Town Court and was remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $2500 bail.
Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 39-year-old Matthew Maxim, of Margaretville for aggravated harassment & obstructing government administration following a report of a domestic dispute in the Town of Middletown. Maxim is accused of threatening to kill another person through a text message and attempting to obstruct the arresting officers by refusing to comply with police commands. Maxim was arraigned & was remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $1000 bail.
State Police announced the death of Trooper Joel Davis, who responded to a call of shots fired during a domestic dispute in the town of Theresa in Jefferson County Sunday night. While approaching the residence, Trooper Davis was shot once and killed. 32-year old Justin Walters, surrendered to other State Troopers without incident. Walters is an active duty Army infantryman who is stationed at Fort Drum, Police said that his wife, 27-year old Nichole Walters was also found deceased at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
State Police arrested 35 year old Donald Craw of Norwich for criminal possession of narcotic drugs and criminal possession of a controlled substance. Craw was arrested on state Route 8 in the town of Bainbridge at about 3:05 pm. July 5th, he faces court action shortly.

Affected roads include county routes 41, 8, 36, 37, 3, 6 & 18 in that order. Oil & stone work will then continue in southern portions of the county on County Routes 17, 67, 20, 27 & 22, the project should take about 3 weeks to complete, weather permitting.
Due to road closures and bridge construction along State Highway 51 in Garrattsville, the Otsego Express Bus Route 9 will operate on a temporary detour route. The Garrattsville and New Lisbon stops will be affected, starting Tuesday and are expected to last for at least a month. The information is available at otsegoexpress.com.
A combined effort by local and regional emergency preparedness officials helped the 2017 Gus Macker Basketball Tournament run safely. More than 7,000 spectators watched 330 teams play in the 22nd annual double-elimination competition, sponsored by the Norwich Family YMCA. The City/County Emergency Operations Center was staffed with Responders from the Norwich Police Department, Norwich Fire Department, Norwich Emergency Management, Chenango County Bureau of Fire and the Southern Tier Regional Incident Management Team. Beside minor medical concerns, the players and fans enjoyed a problem-free event.
The Sidney Village Board will hold their next regular meeting tonight at 7:00 PM, at the Civic Center. A presentation regarding the Main Street Revitalization project is expected.

24-year-old David Murrer of Harpursville has been indicted on a number of charges in Broome County Court, in connection with an accident on I-88 last December. Murrer was indicted by a Broome County Grand Jury for Aggravated Vehicular Homicide, Vehicular Manslaughter, 2nd degree Manslaughter, plus Assault, Vehicular Assault, DWI, & Reckless Driving, He is accused of crashing into a vehicle driven by Synthia Baciuska of Afton, which forced the vehicle off of the highway, it over turned, and a passenger, 67 year old Lynn Bacuiska was ejected, he was declared dead at the scene. Mrs. Baciuska suffered non-life threatening injures & was taken an area hospital for treatment.

Several area fire companies responded this morning to the report of a fire with explosions of hazardous materials, at 178 Howe Lane in Afton off of State Route 41 in Afton. Afton, Bainbridge & Sidney Fire Department responded to the blaze, which was reported at about 11:15 AM, at Pit Stop Auto Repair. The investigation is ongoing.
Governor Cuomo announced that nearly $37 million in grants and interest-free loans have been approved by the State Environmental Facilities Corporation Board of Directors to support drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the state. Locally, the Village of Stamford will receive $6.2 million, for the construction of a new water storage tank and control building to replace the Village's old tank, undersized water distribution mains with new mains at several locations throughout the Village.
The State DEC announced that Bald eagles are thriving in the State, with 323 breeding pairs reported so far this year, the largest number since the agency began a restoration effort in 1976. The DEC started a "hacking" program in 1976, which involved hand rearing and releasing older nestlings, acquired from healthy populations of bald eagles in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, and Alaska. During a 13-year period, 198 bald eagle nestlings were collected, raised to independence with minimal human contact, and were released in New York, were the population has continued to grow.
The Northeast Regional Climate Center Reports this was the 4th wettest spring on record from the Mid Atlantic & into the North East States, which has led to a spike in mosquitoes. 50 different species have been counted, with the concern mainly regarding the Northern House Mosquito, which is a usual carrier of the West Nile Virus. New York DEC reminds area residents to get rid of any standing water on or around your property, in order to curtail mosquito breeding.
The Oneonta Common Council is expected to vote for a new Police Chief at their next meeting tonight. Acting Chief Douglas Brenner has the endorsement of Oneonta Mayor Gary Herzig, tonight's meeting will be held in the Common Council Chambers at Oneonta City Hall at 7:00 PM.

The National Weather Service surveyed an area of storm damage from Monday's Storm, in Chenango County. Damage to trees was found near Oxford, the damage became more concentrated along Lyon Brook Road northeast of Oxford, where numerous trees were uprooted and snapped near Pratt Road. The tree damage pattern indicated either straight-line winds, indicating a microburst or a series of microbursts as opposed to a tornado. Structural damage included a large tree destroying a garage on Lyon Brook Road, and a peeled roof and a large tree on a house along Pratt road.
State Police arrested 38-year-old Joseph Wilms of Unadilla, for DWI, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Criminal Mischief & other traffic violations, after troopers responded to a report of an erratic driver on the Unadilla Community Field. Wilms is accused of driving on the field, causing damage to the grass, and then driving away, he was located in his driveway on Sperry Street; the arrest was a felony because Wilms has 2 prior DWI convictions. Wilms was arraigned in the Town of Unadilla Court and was remanded to the Otsego County Jail on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 property bond, pending court action Friday.

The couple was accused of giving their son, 5-year-old Chace Burks a fatal dose of oxycodone on May 7th of 2016, and a debilitating dose of methadone in May of 2015.
State Police arrested 22-year-old Akil Wright of Brooklyn for Criminal Contempt, after troopers responded to a domestic dispute in Laurens. Wright’s conduct violated a valid order of protection. Wright was arraigned in the Town of Laurens Court and was released without bail being required. His next court date is on May 18, 2017.
State Police arrested 44-year-old Corey Christman of Oneonta for Disseminating Indecent Material to a Minor and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Christman was arraigned in the Town of Oneonta Court and remanded to Otsego County Correctional Facility on $10,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond, pending future court action.
A large wind turbine is being moved today down State Highway 12 from the North Norwich rest area to the Oxford rest area. This will cause major traffic delays, particularly in the City of Norwich, to get the load over the Canasawacta Creek Bridge around the lunch hour. Motorists are encouraged to avoid State Highway 12 if possible. You can use County Road 32/East River Road as an alternate.
Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 24 year old Francisco Rodriguez of Hancock Monday, on charges of Aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to keep right, and unsafe lane change. Deputies say this arrest is a result of a traffic stop on East Front Street in the Village of Hancock. Rodriguez was arraigned in front of Judge Buckley at Hancock Village Court and was remanded to the Delaware County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.
NYSEG met its goal of restoring service to more than 90% of affected customers last night & is continuing with the restoration effort. More than 60,000 customers have been affected, around 57,000 customers have had their service restored. NYSEG expects to have power restored to the remaining customers this afternoon, Helicopter patrols are continuing to look for additional damage locally this afternoon.

A large wind turbine is being moved today down State Highway 12 from the North Norwich rest area to the Oxford rest area. This will cause major traffic delays, particularly in the City of Norwich, to get the load over the Canasawacta Creek Bridge around the lunch hour. Motorists are encouraged to avoid State Highway 12 if possible. You can use County Road 32/East River Road as an alternate.
Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 24 year old Francisco Rodriguez of Hancock Monday, on charges of Aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to keep right, and unsafe lane change. Deputies say this arrest is a result of a traffic stop on East Front Street in the Village of Hancock. Rodriguez was arraigned in front of Judge Buckley at Hancock Village Court and was remanded to the Delaware County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.
NYSEG met its goal of restoring service to more than 90% of affected customers last night & is continuing with the restoration effort. More than 60,000 customers have been affected, around 57,000 customers have had their service restored. NYSEG expects to have power restored to the remaining customers this afternoon, Helicopter patrols are continuing to look for additional damage locally this afternoon.

The Town Of Oneonta will hold the 2nd of 2 public meetings today to inform residents about the "Community Choice Aggregation" energy delivery program, which is a State program that authorizes communities to purchase of electricity at lower rates. Today’s meeting is from 5:00to 7:00 PM at the Foxcare Center on Route 7. Residents are encouraged to bring their electric bill to compare pricing.
