Deposit Fire Department responded Wednesday morning at about 4:00 AM to a house fire in the Town of Sanford. A motorist stopped at a house along North Sanford Road and told a resident about the fire in the woods down the road. Arriving crews found a house and garage fully involved, which led to a brush fire. Investigators believe that the fire started long before it was reported, both the house & garage were destroyed. The fire is still under investigation. Deposit Fire fighters were assisted by the Harpursville, Windsor, West Windsor, Afton Fire Departments, Broome Ambulance, State Police, with Masonville Fire Department covering the Deposit district during the incident.
The Foothills Performing arts Center will feature "A Tribute to Veterans" Saturday Night in the Bettiol Theater. The show features County Music Act Darryl Worley, the event is free for all US Military Veterans with their ID. More information is available at foothillspac.org.

State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested 32 year old Boyd Fenton of Athens, Pennsylvania after a fire at a barn at the Tioga Downs Casino complex Thursday. Over two-dozen racehorses died in the fire. Fenton has been charged with Arson, Burglary, Criminal Mischief & Assault, An investigation revealed that Fenton entered the barn and intentionally set a fire, causing thousands of dollars’ worth of damage. 1 person who entered the burning barn in an attempt to save horses suffered second degree burns and was transported to Robert Packer Hospital for treatment. Fenton was arraigned and remanded to the Tioga County Correctional Facility.
Court has adjourned on Thursday in former President Donald Trump's civil fraud trial, with the trial scheduled to resume Monday for the start of the defense's case. The court will be closed Friday in observation of Veterans Day. Donald Trump Jr. will return to the witness stand to testify as the defense's first witness on Monday, if the judge does not rule in favor of Trump's motion for a directed verdict to end the case early.
New York will honor veterans on the year's 6th and final Free Fishing Day of 2023 on Saturday, November 11th. On Free Fishing Days, the state waives the requirement for a freshwater fishing license.

Chenango County Sheriff's Office arrested 32 year old Jentre Bergman of McGraw for Robbery. On September 23rd, Bergman allegedly went to a residence in the Town of German, where he forcefully stole a Harley-Davidson motorcycle by pointing a shotgun at the victim & fled the scene on the motorcycle. An arrest warrant was then issued for Bergman, who was arrested by the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office and held in their facility on un-related charges. Bergman was then transported to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office where he was processed for charges of Robbery, Grand Larceny, and Menacing, he was arraigned in the Town of German Court where bail was set at $5,000. Bergman was then transported back to the Cortland County Correctional Facility where he is being held.

40 year old Cory Kujawski of Burlington Flats was indicted by an Otsego County Grand Jury. State Police arrested Kujawski, for 3 counts of Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child, 2 counts of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child & 1 count of Criminal Sexual Act, he is accused of inappropriate sexual contact with a child under the age of 13 on several occasions, he was arraigned and released on his own recognizance & was referred to Otsego County probation.
State Police arrested 39 year old Antoine Laporte of Buffalo for Criminal Possession of a Weapon after a Trooper observed a vehicle traveling at an excessive speed, The Trooper attempted to catch up to the vehicle but lost sight of the car, the trooper ended up finding the vehicle rolled over at the bottom of the East Branch exit ramp. Laporte walking on Harvard Road, he fled but was eventually detained, Laporte had multiple warrants for Assault and Larceny in Erie County and in the state of New Jersey, troopers also located a weapon in the wrecked vehicle. Laporte was transported to Wilson Hospital for a medical evaluation, he was released & was turned over to the Delaware County Correctional Facility for arraignment.

His testimony in the trial of New York Attorney General Letitia James’ lawsuit follows that of his eldest sons, Eric and Donald Trump Jr., who testified last week. 42 year old Darren Moscato of Delhi appeared in Delaware County Court Monday and pleaded guilty to Attempted Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors. Moscato admitted that he engaged in sexually explicit conversations online with a person he believed to be a minor child, he was sentenced to a 3-year term of probation supervision, with sex offender terms and conditions, & he must pay fines and surcharges totaling $700.
A fundraiser for the Sidney Veteran's Memorial Park will be held the next 2 weekend at East Main Lanes in Sidney, Park President Doug Barnard told WCDO News that sponsors are needed & teams can still sign up to participate:

Binghamton University has identified the student who was found dead on campus Monday morning outside the library as Natalia Malcevic. Malcevic was a sophomore with junior status and was a Computer Science major from Niskayuna.
55 year old Ramar Hassel of Delhi, appeared in Delaware County Court Monday and pleaded guilty to Welfare Fraud, he was sentenced to a 1-year jail sentence. Hassel obtained public assistance benefits that he was not entitled to by using an electronic benefits card that he was not entitled to use & that he obtained over $1,000 in SNAP benefits to which he was not entitled. Hassel was sentenced to 364 days of incarceration, he was also ordered to pay restitution to the Delaware County Department of Social Services in the amount of $2,530.
The Sidney Chamber of Commerce will hold their next regular meeting tomorrow morning. The meeting will begin at 8:00 AM at Club 55 on Union Street.

Broome County Sheriff’s Office patrols responded to a motor vehicle accident at about 4:40 Monday afternoon that claimed the life of a teenager in the Town of Colesville. The accident occurred on Welton Street between Still Road and Old Welton Street in the Town of Colesville. A preliminary investigation found that a pickup truck containing 3 teenage individuals left the roadway and collided with a tree. The 2 passengers were treated at UHS Binghamton General Hospital with minor injuries, the driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. This is an ongoing investigation, and more details will be released as the investigation concludes.
Ivanka Trump is now scheduled to testify on Wednesday, November 8, to conclude the New York Attorney General Letitia James case against Donald Trump. Donald Trump Jr. is set to begin his testimony on Wednesday, and Eric Trump will testify after Donald Jr.

On Thursday, Joshua Milton & Stephanie Nelson were arrested, the Metro SWAT Team raided 10 Holland Street and seized a loaded handgun, methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl, on Friday, the Broome County Special Investigations Unit conducted a raid at 118 Liberty Street in Binghamton uncovered cocaine, fentanyl and over $2,500 in suspected drug proceeds, John Reed and Danielle Mensah were both arrested. Monday morning, the Metro SWAT Team searched 14 Isbell Street, and located handguns & body armor, Tasheem Scott and a juvenile 17-year-old female were arrested and transported to the Binghamton Police Department.

Police approached a vehicle with 4 occupants, 26-year-old Romario Robinson, was arrested on active warrants with the Broome County Sheriff’s Office and State Police. Loaded handguns were discovered on 19-year-old Shajee Johnson and 18-year-old Qualem Hernandez, Johnson was charged with 2 counts of criminal possession of a weapon, Hernandez was charged on 1 count of criminal possession of a weapon, they were arraigned and remanded to the Broome County Correctional Facility.
Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 38 year old Amber Cooke of Walton following an investigation of a domestic dispute in the Town of Delhi. On September 22nd, Deputies responded to a Domestic in Progress, Cooke allegedly struck a child in the face, causing substantial pain and the child to bleed. Cooke was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, 3rd degree Assault, she was processed & was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Delhi Court on a later date to answer the charges.
The American Red Cross continues to hold Blood Drives as blood supplies remain low, a drive is being held in Worcester today from 12:00 Noon until 6:00 PM at the Worcester United Methodist Church. State Police has activated the New York State AMBER ALERT and is investigating a child abduction that occurred near Moreau Lake State Park in Gansevoort, NY at about 6:45 PM Saturday. 9 year old Charlotte Sena is a White female, with long, blonde hair. She is approximately 4 feet 6 inches tall, with green eyes, and weighs about 90 pounds. Charlotte was last seen wearing an orange tie-dye Pokemon shirt, dark blue pants, black crocs, gray bike helmet. Anyone with any information is asked to call the New York State Police at (518) 457-6811 or dial 911.

An investigation revealed that while working at Punch Out Parkinson’s Inc. as Treasurer and President, Congdon stole over $50,000 from the nonprofit’s checking and savings accounts. Congdon was arrested was transported to the Broome County Central Arraignment and Processing.
State Police announced that 70 year-old Linette Beers of Endwell was hit by a Jeep Grand Cherokee Tuesday driven by a 76 year-old woman at the corner of Country Club and Hooper Roads. Beers succumbed to her injuries & the investigation is ongoing.

State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested 48 year old Stacie Congdon of Windsor for 2n Degree Grand Larceny. An investigation revealed that while working at Punch Out Parkinson’s Inc. as Treasurer and President, Congdon stole over $50,000 from the nonprofit’s checking and savings accounts. Congdon was arrested was transported to the Broome County Central Arraignment and Processing.
State Police announced that 70 year-old Linette Beers of Endwell was hit by a Jeep Grand Cherokee Tuesday driven by a 76 year-old woman at the corner of Country Club and Hooper Roads. Beers succumbed to her injuries & the investigation is ongoing.
