Otsego County Sheriff's Office arrested 37 year old Daniel Pope of Laurens following an investigation of a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Morris. Pope was charged with 3 counts of Aggravated DWI for allegedly having a Child Less Than 16 Years Old in the vehicle, plus DWI, Operating a Vehicle with a BAC of .08% or higher, 3 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child & Speed Not Reasonable and Prudent The 3 children in pope's vehicle sustained minor injuries in the accident and were treated and released at the scene by EMS, Pope was released on an Appearance ticket and for Town of Morris Court at a later date.

Delaware County Sheriff Craig DuMond reported that recently that his Office has received several reports of residents having found unauthorized charges on their debit and credit cards, due to an illegal and fraudulent type of activity referred to as “skimming”. Sheriff DuMond Told WCDO news how to avoid being skimmed:

Sheriff DuMond said that people can avoid these common methods of skimming buy paying in cash inside the store, also, check every line of your monthly bank statement to see that you haven't been falsely charged & report it to your bank or credit union as soon as possible, so that they can re-issue your card with security updates & a new PIN number & sign up for fraud text alerts whenever possible to monitor your accounts.

The Otsego County Sheriff's Office announced that 27 year old Brandon Morse of Edmeston was charged with cashing a stolen check last month was arrested again over the weekend for falsely reporting an incident to law enforcement. Morse is accused of lying to authorities about a man outside of his residence with a gun. Prior to the February arrest, Morse allegedly stole a $3,500 check from a local business and cashed it illegally. Morse was released with an appearance ticket and is due back in court at a later date.

Williams was arrested following an investigation into a report of loose horses in the road in the Town of Laurens on December 11th of last year. During the course of the investigation, it was found that Williams did not provided proper care for her animals, Williams was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Laurens Court for a later date.

Leonard was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving on the shoulder, Failure to keep right, Drivers view obstructed, and speed not reasonable & prudent among several other charges, he was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Oneonta Court at a later date.
