2 Otsego County Blood drives are scheduled, the 1st will be in Oneonta today from 12:00 Noon to 6:00 PM at the Elm Park Methodist Church, 401 Chestnut Street. Another Blood drive will be held Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Burlington Flats Baptist Church. Appointments can be made using the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS.

The Bainbridge Chamber of Commerce Commitment to Community Dinner will be held Saturday at the Sundown Golf & Country Club starting at 6:00PM. Otsego County Sheriff’s Office, arrested 25 year old Clayton Truax of Roseboom on 2 counts of Assault & Endangering the Welfare of child. Truax is accused of hitting his child with a metal bottle, causing an eye injury, he was remanded to the Otsego County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash or $50,000 bond.

Chenango County Sheriff's Office responded Wednesday to a report of a trespass in progress at a Town of Norwich residence. A male and two females were found and detained at the location, the vehicle driven to the residence was reported stolen from New Hartford in June. Deputies Arrested Aaron Gabriel, Tami Lyn Gray of Norwich and Jennifer Pollock of Norwich, for 2nd degree Burglary, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and Conspiracy, all are being held at the Chenango County Correctional Facility.

Sidney Rotary Club & Cullman Child Developmental Center of Sidney will hold the 4th & last Free Summer event Saturday, Rotary Spokesman Larry Halbert told WCDO News about the "Big Rig Event":

Otsego County Department of Health and Bassett Healthcare are seeking community input on health concerns. The Department wants to know what are areas of concern for Otsego County, the information will be used to determine future public health interventions in Otsego County. The Sidney Chamber of Commerce will hold their next meeting this morning. The meeting begins at 8:00 AM at the Sidney Golf & Country Club.

The Broome County Sheriff’s Office responded Tuesday morning at the abandoned Vestal Hills Country Club, for the report of a person being shot with a Bow & Arrow. Deputies found 23-year-old Bayso Vannavongsa of Binghamton early Tuesday morning in the parking lot of the Country Club with a non-life threatening wound to his chest. He was transported to Wilson Hospital for evaluation. State police attempted to stop the vehicle that allegedly left the scene, and the 2 occupants, Savannah Perry and Carson Vanco of Endicott, fled but were found on Powderhouse Road. Police accuse Vanco of shooting the arrow at Vannavongsa, The investigation is on-going and criminal charges are expected.

State Police responded to Otsego County Highway 13 and Hawks Road in the town of Pittsfield for a report of a vehicle on fire with a person trapped inside. Troopers learned that firefighters were already on scene and confirmed that the vehicle was fully engulfed with a person inside who was deceased. An investigation revealed that the 36-year-old female operator went off the roadway, struck an embankment and a tree.

Sidney Rotary Club & Cullman Child Developmental Center of Sidney continue to gain popularity with their free summer events, Rotary Spokesman Larry Halbert said that their recent Dairy Day event was very successful, and they anticipate similar attendance at the "Big Rig Event" August 6th:

The World Health Organization declared the international monkeypox outbreak a global emergency, & the State Department of Health continues to monitor the current monkeypox outbreak.   Chenango County Department of Public Health Director Isaiah Sutton told WCDO News that they are prepared if a case is confirmed locally:

Sutton said that anyone with symptoms of monkeypox should first call their health care provider, more information is also available by calling the Chenango County Health Department at (607) 337-1660.

State Police at Oneonta arrested 20 year old Christopher Becker of Unadilla for Criminal Mischief and Menacing, after a trooper responded to a report of a man who broke windows at the Betty Beavers Gas Station in the town of Otego. Becker allegedly broke windows of the store and threatened the owner of the gas station with a golf club. He was arrested on scene by a trooper and was transported to Otsego County Central Arraignment and Processing.

Otsego County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of 46 year old Seth Wolle of Schenevus, for 3 counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Wolle is accused of performing a lewd act in the presence of minors, he was sent to the Otsego County Correctional Facility to await arraignment at a later date. An order of protection was requested on behalf of the family.

The Sidney Chamber of Commerce will hold their next regular meeting this morning at 8:00 AM. This Morning's meeting will be held at the Sidney Golf & Country Club, chamber members & directors are urged to attend.

The Arc Otsego has been awarded $47,842 in grants from the Trustee Management Board of state ARC Trust Services to support several programs. More information about the Arc Otsego Guardianship and Fit and Fun Grants, is available by calling 433-8417.

Otsego County Sheriff's Office arrested 28 year old Robert Wehrenberg on a warrant for failure to appear in Otsego County Court. Wehrenberg previously failed to appear in Otsego County Court, a bench warrant was issued through Otsego County Court, he did make an appearance in court and was remanded to the Otsego County Correctional Facility, & will appear in Otsego County Court at a later date.

State Police arrested 42 year old David Hook & 41 year old David Alleyne, both of Delhi for Criminal Mischief, Auto stripping, Falsifying Business Records & Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, after an investigation into the theft of catalytic converters from vehicles at a private residence in the town of Delhi. Hook allegedly took a stolen catalytic converter to Otsego Auto Crushers in the town of Davenport and signed a receipt that he was the owner of the stolen catalytic converter, Alleyne was found to be in possession of a stolen catalytic converter, Both men were issued appearance tickets and released & will appear in the Davenport & Delhi Town Courts shortly.

Chenango River Theatre’s 14th annual Winter Gala will be held at the Genegantslet Golf Club this Saturday from 6:00 – 9:30pm.  The evening includes both a Silent and Live Auction, according to Theater Director Zach Curtis:
