Binghamton Police responded to the emergency room at Wilson Hospital Thursday night, after 26-year-old Franklin Reyes of Binghamton was treated for a non life-threatening stab wound to his chest. Police arrested Reyes’s wife, 22-year-old Quanisha Porter-Reyes, she was charged with first-degree assault. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Binghamton detectives at 772-7080.
Oneonta Mayor Gary Herzig announced that a special meeting of the Oneonta Common Council would be held Tuesday at 3:30 PM at the common Council Chambers at City Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the ambulance contract with the town of Oneonta. A previously announced Common Council Meeting for Wednesday has been canceled.
State Police at Oneonta arrested 34-year-old Edwin Palacios of Fredericksburg, Virginia for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC result of .21%. The arrest resulted from a traffic stop on Interstate 88 in the Town of Oneonta; Palacios was arraigned in the Town of Oneonta Court and remanded to the Otsego County Jail on $1500 cash bail.
Investigators today arrested 18-year-old Scott Feiner of Roslyn, for 1 count of Sexual Misconduct, resulting from an alleged incident in the Town of Hancock earlier this year. Feiner is alleged to have had sexual contact with a14 year old camper, while he was working as a camp counselor at the Frenchwoods Performing Arts Camp in Hancock. Feiner was issued an appearance ticket to the Town of Hancock Court at a later date.
The Otsego County Chamber announced that the Fun First Night New Year's Parade would begin Thursday night at 6:00 PM. The Parade will begin at the corner of Elm and Main Streets in downtown Oneonta.
State Police arrested 47-year-old Shannon Morrison of Unadilla, for DWI, following a motor vehicle accident on State Route 28 in Franklin. Morrison was issued traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Franklin Court on January 14th.

State Police are currently looking for a 67 year old New Jersey man who was reported missing from his hunting cabin on Streeter Hill Road in the Town of Harpersfield, Delaware County. John Bourgholtzer is a white male who is 6’ tall and weighs about 180 pounds. He has grey hair and brown eyes Mr. Bourgholtzer was last seen on December 12, 2015, at about 8:00 a.m., leaving his camp to go hunting by himself. He may be driving his 2011 Ford Focus with New Jersey license plates KDN45E. Anyone with information please call the New York State Police at (607) 561-7400.
State Police at Sidney arrested 38 year old Karlton Tompkins of Mount Upton for Operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, criminal possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration 2nd. This arrest occurred after a trooper responded to a report of a man sleeping at the wheel of a parked vehicle at the Valero gas station on State Route 8 in the Town of Guilford. The responding trooper saw Tompkins sleeping behind the wheel of a parked vehicle with the engine running, Tompkins was impaired by drugs, he then physically resisted and fought momentarily but was handcuffed. After Police impounded the vehicle, a small amount of methamphetamines was recovered. Tompkins was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Guilford court on December 22nd.
The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old David Franklin of Oxford for 2 Counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property. Detectives arrested Franklin while investigating a Larceny from an Oneida County Business; Detectives located and recovered the stolen property in Franklin’s possession in the City of Norwich. Franklin was arrested and arraigned on a Chenango County Court Warrant and was remanded without bail, he was issued appearance tickets to appear at a later date in City of Norwich Court. Additional charges are pending in Oneida County.
A Town of Columbus resident was arrested by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office for Grand Larceny. Detectives arrested 20-year-old Maxwell Horton; Detectives located and recovered the stolen property, which had a value of over $3,000. Horton was arraigned in the Town of Columbus Court and was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $3,000 cash bail.
The ONEONTA COMMON COUNCIL will hold their next meeting tonight at City Hall. The meeting will begin at 7:00 PM in the Council Chamber on the 2nd floor.
Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested 2 men in connection with multiple burglaries in Chenango County, the Southern Tier and Northern Pennsylvania. The Sheriff’s Office arrested 28 year old Nicholas Neer of Port Crane and 27 year old William Polhamus from the Town of Greene, for allegedly committing 2 burglaries in the Town of Greene & 1 in the Town of Oxford. Several pieces of stolen merchandise were recovered during the investigation. Both men were arraigned in the Town of North Norwich Court and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $25,000 cash bail. The investigation is continuing and additional arrests will be made. The State Police and Broome County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.

State Police at Binghamton arrested 23-year-old Andre Deanjou of Port Crane for driving while intoxicated, after a traffic stop when Deanjou was observed operating a vehicle at 90 mph when the posted speed limit was 40 mph on State Route 369 in the Town of Fenton. Deanjou was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Fenton court on November 19th.
A Village of Oxford man was arrested Sunday by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office for Driving While Intoxicated. 20-year-old Zachary Angelina was charged with Driving While Intoxicated after an investigation into a motor vehicle accident on State Highway 12 in the Town of North Norwich. Angelina lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway causing damage to private property. Angelina will appear in court at a later date.
Delaware County Sheriff Deputies responded Saturday, to a 1-car Accident on State Route 357 in the Town of Sidney. Deputies arrested 33-year-old Jennifer Ross of Franklin for DWI, operating a motor vehicle with an open alcoholic container & unlawful possession of marihuana. Ross is to appear in the Town of Sidney Court at a later date.
State Police at Oneonta arrested 26-year-old Michael Manning of Laurens for felony DWI and unlawful possession of marihuana. This arrest occurred after a traffic stop for speeding on State Route 205 in the Town of Oneonta. This arrest was a felony because he has two prior convictions for DWI within the last ten years. Manning was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Oneonta Court on November 17th.

A Town of Harpursville resident was arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated by the Chenango County Sheriff’s department. 48 year old Joanne Mohr was charged following an investigation of a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Greene. Mohr was taken into custody without incident, was processed, and released to appear in the Town of Greene Court at a later date.

State Police arrested 23-year-old Cody Mabe of Pharsalia for fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle, resting arrest and several other traffic violations. This arrest occurred after a short pursuit that started when a trooper observed Mabe driving without a front license plate and attempted to make a traffic stop on State Route 23 in the Town of Pharsalia. After refusing to comply, Mabe drove away. The pursuit ended when he drove near his home and fled into the woods. He was arrested shortly after. Mabe was arraigned in the Town of Pharsalia court and was released without bail required. His next court date in the Town of Pharsalia is on November 5, 2015

State Police arrested 41-year-old Robert McLintock of Edmeston for criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marihuana. This arrest occurred after a traffic stop for driving with a brake lamp not working on State Route 20 in the Town of Richfield. During the stop it was determined that he unlawfully possessed an unregistered handgun and marihuana. McLintock was arraigned and was released without bail required pending court action on November 4th.

Delaware County Sheriff Deputies responded this weekend to a Trespass in progress at the Bagels and Cream located on Elm St in the Village of Delhi. Upon arrival, Deputies found a male subject sleeping on the floor in the dining area. Deputies arrested Travon Gaddis age 18 of New Rochelle, New York for Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree. Gaddis is to reappear in the Town of Delhi Court at a later time to answer the said charges.

On Tuesday afternoon at about 2:10 pm, State Police responded to a reported armed robbery at the Runway Food Mart, Gulf Gas Station, on Martin Hill Road in the town of Colesville. State Police are currently seeking one suspect, a white male, small build, wearing a blue sweatshirt and jeans. A handgun and knife were displayed and the suspect was last seen exiting the gas station on foot in an unknown direction. Anyone with information is requested to contact State Police at 775-1241.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies & Walton Police arrested 17-year-old Dylan Groat of Walton for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, for allegedly stealing a dirt bike from Klinger’s Power Sports in Walton in December 2014, & selling that dirt bike in June of this year. Groat was arraigned in Colchester Town Court and was remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $1000 bail.
Broome County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the report of a head on collision this morning at about 10:30, in the town of Colesville. The accident occurred at the intersection of Colesville Road and Johnson Road in Harpursville, Initial reports suggest that one of the drivers may have fallen asleep at the wheel. The Unidentified drivers were taken to Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, tickets are pending.
Delaware County District Attorney Investigators and the Walton Police Department arrested 27-year-old Brandi Wyckoff of Walton for 2 counts of Forgery & 2 counts of offering a false instrument for filing. Wyckoff was arraigned in Delhi Town Court and remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility on $5,000 Bail or $10,000 Bond. Pending future court action.
State Senator Jim Seward announced that he is sponsoring a pair of free senior scam prevention forums in Oneonta and Cooperstown on Friday. Senator Seward is partnering with the State Department of State to notify senior citizens, caregivers, and others about the alarming trend of senior targeted scams. The forums will take place on Friday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Elm Park Church, 401 Chestnut Street in Oneonta & from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Cooperstown Village Offices, 22 Main Street in Cooperstown. The forums are free and open to the public.
On Saturday, the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office, & Norwich Police executed a no knock search warrant at 30 Classic Street in the Village of Sherburne. 50-year-old Frederick Harty of Sherburne was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to sell, Criminal Nuisance, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, & Criminally Possessing Drug Paraphernalia. 46-year-old Tabitha Harty was also charged with Criminal Nuisance. Frederick Harty was arraigned in the Town of Norwich Court and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $20,000 cash bail. Tabitha Harty was arraigned in the Town of Norwich Court and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $2,000 cash bail. The Sheriff’s Office recovered heroin, scales, packaging material, and unlawfully possessed prescription pills.
The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office arrested 69-year-old Frank Viscardi of St. Johnsville following a motor vehicle accident on state highway 28 in the town of Milford. Viscardi lost control and drove off the shoulder, struck an embankment, traveled across a lawn & hit a garage, causing significant damage. Viscardi was charged with felony DWI, criminal possession of a controlled substance, reckless endangerment of property, unlawful possession of marijuana, speed not reasonable, failure to keep right, driving on shoulder and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Viscardi will appear in the town of Milford court on October 27th.

State Police initiated a traffic stop on I-81, after a pursuit of a Kia Sorrento at Whitney Point, 5 suspects fled the vehicle on foot. The suspects were found to be in possession of multiple stolen credit cards and identifications for numerous people throughout the United States, they were also wanted for questioning in Oneida County, for suspected bank fraud. State Police arrested 18-year-old Denzel Sanon, 28-year-old Brandon Williams& 24-year-old Brandon Smith of Florida, for 7 counts each of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property; they were arraigned in the Town of Fenton Court and remanded to the Broome County Jail pending a bail hearing. State Police are still looking for the remaining 2 suspects who had fled the vehicle; they were seen outside a business in the Whitney Point, Anyone with any information is asked to contact the State Police at 775-1241.
On Saturday night, Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 55-year-old Penny Corns of Cooperstown for driving while ability impaired by drugs, driving while intoxicated, criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, operating with insufficient tail lamps, and moving from lane unsafely. The arrest followed a traffic stop on State Route 8 in the Town of Deposit. Corns was released on appearance tickets returnable to Deposit Town Court at a later date.
On Friday, Delaware County Deputies arrested 60 year old John Morton of Franklin for Aggravated unlicensed operation & Resisting Arrest in the Village of Walton. Morton is accused of passing through a safety checkpoint and refused to stop when as deputies instructed him, they discovered that Morton had his license suspended. Morton refused to comply with officers and and resisted arrest, he was arraigned in the Town of Hamden Court and remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $1,500 cash bail.

The Broome County Sheriff's Office responded this morning to the report of a tractor trailer hauling baby formula rolling over on I-88. The accident occurred at about 7:10 this morning in the town of Dickinson, near the ramp to I-81 South; about 34,000 pounds of powdered baby formula was in the truck at the time. 50 year old Allen Boudreau of Vermont apparently went off the right shoulder of the road on a sharp curve, The trailer tipped over and skidded along the Barrier over I-81, it eventually flipped onto its side at the end of the bridge and went down over an embankment in the area of Nirchi’s Pizza on Front Street. Boudreau was taken to UHS Wilson Hospital in Johnson City for minor injuries, he was issued tickets for speed not reasonable and prudent and failure to maintain lane, more charges may be forthcoming.
State Police arrested 47 year old Keith Barlow of Fly Creek for Driving While Intoxicated. The arrest occurred after a traffic stop for driving with a broken tail light on State Route 28 in the Town of Otsego. Barlow’s arrest became a felony due to a prior conviction for DWI within the last 10 years. 19th district Congressman Chris Gibson will be in Franklin today. The Congressman will appear at 5:30 PM for the Franklin Veterans Memorial flag presentation at the Village Park, Gibson will present a flag from the U.S. Capitol to be flown over the park in honor of local veterans. At 7:00 PM, Congressman Gibson will deliver the commencement address to Franklin High School graduating seniors, at the Franklin High School.
The Oneonta Common Council will have a special meeting at 6:00 PM Monday. The Council will consider approval of the applications for certain grants relating to the operating of the Oneonta Municipal Airport. The meeting will be held in the Common Council chambers at City Hall it will be open to the public.

19-year-old Joseph Mueller of Delhi suffered severe burns last night, hen his vehicle went into a propane tank outside the Delhi American Legion hall. The tank exploded, and firefighters from several area companies responded Mueller was taken to the burn unit at Upstate Medical Hospital in Syracuse. The crash happened at about 8:30 last night, about 30 people successfully evacuated the Legion hall, the Hall & a pavilion had minor damage, 3 store units were destroyed.
State Police at Oneonta arrested 43-year-old James Henderson of Franklin for Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation, Unlawful Imprisonment, Criminal Mischief and Harassment. Troopers responded to a Delaware County 911 report of a dispute at a residence on Rod & Gun Club Road in the Town of Franklin. An investigation determined that during a physical dispute with his girlfriend he grabbed her by the neck, kept her from using the telephone to call police and would not let her leave. Henderson was arraigned in the Town of Davenport Court and remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 property bond pending a court date for the Town of Franklin is on May 28th.
Chenango County Fire officials reported a Barn fire at around 1:00 PM this afternoon. The barn was located at 2065 state route 12 in the town of Greene; firefighters from Coventry and Brisben have also been called in. WCDO will have more details as they become available.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 23 Year old Richard Davis of Waynesboro, Virginia on a Fugitive from Justice Warrant. Davis was wanted on violating Felony Probation on a previous Grand Larceny charge. Deputies acting on leads tracked Davis to a home in Franklin where he was taken into custody without incident. He was arraigned in the Town of Franklin Court and was remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility without bail to be held pending extradition back to the State of Virginia.
Delaware County Sheriff's Investigators arrested 19 year old Ashli Eichler of Meredith for Possessing an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child. Eichler is accused of possessing pornographic images of children under the age of 16 & disseminating the images by a cell telephone. Eichler was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable in the Town of Meredith Court at 5:30pm on May 6th.
The Oneonta common council will hold their next regular meeting tonight at City hall. The Council is expected to ratify their agreement with The Oneonta City Police Benevolent Assocication tonight, the meeting begins at 7:00 PM in the Common Council Chambers on the 2nd floor of City hall.

A City of Cortland resident was arrested by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office for DWI and other traffic offenses. 27 year old Libny Torres was charged with DWI & unsafe lane change following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident on I-88 in the Town of Afton. TORRES allegedly fell asleep at the wheel prior to veering off the roadway and into a guide rail. Torres was arraigned in the Town of Afton court and is being held ON $5,000 cash bail & is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Afton Court at a later date.
Delaware County Public Health is holding a “Medical Countermeasures” drill on Today, to practice and test the ability to dispense large amounts of medicine in the event of a public health threat such as a disease outbreak or bioterrorism threat to the community.All are welcome to attend the drill. Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies identified the person and vehicle sought in a Sands Creek Road, Town of Tompkins burglary investigation. 32-year-old Justin Biedekapp of Hancock, confessed to the crime to authorities after surveillance photos & information were released to the media. Biedekapp was charged with 2nd degree Criminal Trespass & was issued an appearance ticket returnable in the Town of Tompkins Court at a later date.
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown announced today that an Arizona Diamondbacks logo will appear on the cap of the Hall of Fame plaque for 2015 Hall of Fame electee Randy Johnson. The cap selections for Pedro Martinez and John Smoltz will be announced on January 22nd Craig Biggio played his entire career with the Houston Astros.
