The Guilford town planning board will hold a special meeting tonight at the town hall. The meeting will get underway at 7:00 PM at the town hall at 223 Marble Lane.
The American Red Cross asks eligible donors to give Blood this holiday season. On average, the Red Cross must collect 15,000 blood products every day for patients across the country. Eligible donors with all types are needed, especially those with O negative, A negative and B negative. Blood donations today include in Oneonta from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at AO Fox Memorial Hospital Levine Center, also in Gilbertsville from 1:00 to 6:00 PM at the Christ Church State Highway 51 & in Franklin today from 1:30 to 6:30 PM at the Franklin Central School. Several area fire companies responded to a fire at the Hillcrest Roller Rink on West Main Street in Sidney overnight. Firefighters from Sidney, Wells Bridge, Deposit, Mount Upton, Walton, Trout Creek, Oneonta, Unadilla, Masonville, Franklin and Bainbridge responded to the fire, which was reported at around 11:40. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Congressman Chris Gibson will join state and local officials at 10:30 This Morning at the Masonville Town Hall for the announcement of an award from the National Association of State Agencies for Surplus Properties. The town of Masonville is being honored for its innovative repurposing of a surplus Army truck for use as a town dump truck and snow plow, which saved town taxpayers more than $200,000.

Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 41 year old Robert Bullis Of Walton Monday for felony Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Failure to Keep Right following their investigation of a roll-over accident on County Highway 21 in the Town of Walton. Bullis lost control of his vehicle which then struck an earth embankment and rolled over. Bullis was not injured; he was arraigned in the Town of Walton Court and was released on recognizance pending future court appearances.
State DOT officials will hold a public meeting at the Franklin Town Hall, on County Highway 21 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss safety improvements to the intersection of State Routes 28 and 357, in an open-house style where participants can discuss their concerns with the project team members. A Franklin woman was arrested Tuesday night after fleeing an officer who had initiated a traffic stop for a headlight that wasn't working. The chase started on Main Street in Oneonta at about 9pm, and continued into Franklin when it was called off due to road conditions. The driver was picked up by state police at her residence in Franklin and turned over to Oneonta police. 39 year old Patricia McNeilly was charged with 2nd degree reckless endangerment, 3rd degree unlawful feeling a police officer in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, 3rd degree aggravated unlicensed operation and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. McNeilly was arraigned in Oneonta city court and released pending a future court appearance
