36 year old Spencer Gransbury of Walton pleaded guilty to Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, in Delaware County Court Tuesday, Gransbury admitted that he downloaded a photograph of a child approximately ten years old engaged in sexual conduct. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a Cybertip of child sex abuse material being viewed with a phone, which was traced to Gransbury, he was sentenced to 10 years felony probation with sex offenders’ terms and conditions, he is banned from entering any place that children congregate, and all of his devices will also be subjected to monitoring by the Delaware County Probation Department, he will also be required to register as a sex offender for at least 20 years.
18 year old Armony Murphy of Endicott was sentenced to 6 years in State Prison followed by 5 years of post-release supervision for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree yesterday in Broome County Court. On August 18, 2024, Murphy engaged in a verbal altercation with residents of 6 Catherine Street in Binghamton, she fired multiple rounds at the residents and the house.
U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand was re-elected to another term in the US Senate in November, today, she discussed her legislative priorities and goals for the 119th Congress:

Toyota Material Handling and The Raymond Corporation will formally integrate into 1 company under the name "Toyota Material Handling North America" effective April 1. Toyota acquired The Raymond Corporation in 2001. This ongoing unification will allow TMHNA to leverage the unique strengths of both organizations to be more efficient for the benefit of both Toyota and Raymond customers, no job losses are anticipated.
Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies observed a vehicle with equipment issues in Walton, they conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the occupants, 37-year-old Aaron Howard, 36-year-old Courtney Condon and 75-year-old Joan Howard, all of Walton. Aaron Howard and Courtney Condon had an active full stay away order of protection in place, protecting Joan Howard from them. Deputies charged Joan Howard with Obstructing Governmental Administration and Facilitating Aggravated Unlicensed Operator. Condon was charged with Criminal Contempt, Aaron Howard was charged with Criminal Contempt and Obstructing Governmental Administration, Aggravated Unlicensed Operator & a number of other lesser traffic violations. All 3 were processed and released on appearance tickets for the Village of Walton Court at a later date.

Binghamton Police arrested 21-year-old Joziah Worthington of Endicott Tuesday, for the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Qualyn Terry last February in Binghamton. Worthington was charged with 2nd degree Murder and 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Worthington was arraigned in Broome County Court on Tuesday, and taken to the Broome County Jail, Police say the investigation is still ongoing.
The American Red Cross will hold a Blood Drive today at the Foxcare Center in Oneonta, from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 PM. Appointments can be made at 1-800-REDCROSS, at redcrossblood.org or with the Blood Donor App.
State Police are reminding area residents to lock up their car doors when their vehicles are unattended, and never leave valuables in plain sight inside a vehicle. Currently, police are investigating a number of vehicle robberies in the Southern Tier Counties, in many cases, windows are smashed to get at visible valuables.

Otsego County Sheriff's Office arrested 23 year old Kristian Deloatch of Oneonta following a traffic stop Sunday in the Town of Oneonta. Deloatch was charged with Reckless Driving & Speed Over 55 mph, he is accused of driving at approximately 40 mph over the posted speed limit, he was issued an Appearance Ticket and scheduled to appear in the Town of Oneonta Court at a later date.
State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli that Governor Hochul has signed legislation that amends the Abandoned Property Law to authorize the Comptroller to administer an expedited payment program, which eliminates the need for persons and organizations to submit a claim for abandoned property of $250 or less. The average claim paid out is between $50 and $100. Every day, DiNapoli's office returns over $1.5 million.
On Monday at the DEP Offices on Smith Street in Kingston, community leaders gathered to announce a new initiative to improve wireless connectivity across the watershed. New York City DEP Commissioner Aggarwala discussed the project’s aim to build wireless infrastructure that will not only enhance DEP operations but also address the gaps in connectivity affecting local communities. The project will help fill in "dead zones" along critical roadways and ensure better communications for first responders, in areas where cell service is unreliable. The DEP's ability to create this infrastructure on their land will allow private wireless carriers to also utilize it to provide much-needed service boost to residents and businesses.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies received a complaint last week regarding a stolen vehicle from a driveway in the Town of Tompkins. Deputies were contacted by State Police, as they had located the vehicle parked at a residence in the Town of Bainbridge. 37 year old Aaron Howard of Walton was charged with Grand Larceny, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and Unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle. 36 year old Courtney Condon of Walton was charged with Grand Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property.
A pilot and a rescue dog he was transporting to an animal shelter were killed when a small plane crashed near Windham Sunday. 49 year old Seuk Kim of Springfield Virginia was flying from Maryland to Albany, when his plane crashed, 2 other dogs on the plane survived. Kim died on impact, the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board were investigating the crash.
Otsego County Sheriff's Office arrested 68 year old Frederick Pangburn of Schoharie for 2 counts of Grand Larceny, following an investigation in to a report of possible extortion. Pangburn allegedly threatened to post intimate photographs of a victim online if he was not given the victim’s vehicle and additional cash, he was located in Worcester and taken in to custody & was being held at the Otsego County Correctional Facility to await Centralized Arraignment. A request for an order of protection was made on behalf of the victim.

The State Department of Labor announced that Unemployment increased .1% in August from July to 4.4% , Locally Chenango County had 3.5% unemployment, Delaware County 4.2% and Otsego County 4.1% in August.
Edmeston Central School District went into lock-down today following a situation that district Officials Stated posed a potential threat to students if they were outside the school building today. Law Enforcement was notified & no one was allowed to enter or leave the school building. Law enforcement investigated & claimed that situation was safe & the lock-down was lifted.
State Police are looking to identify 2 people that are linked to several “smash and grabs” thefts. The suspects have smashed windows and taken valuable items from vehicles in broad daylight at Otsiningo Park, & other Southern Tier Locations, they were spotted in a white BMW, the license plate on that vehicle was found to be stolen from Connecticut. Anyone with information is asked to contact State Police at Troop C at (607)561-7400. State Police also remind residents to never leaving valuables in plain view in a vehicle even if the vehicle is locked.

45 year old Kareem Young of Binghamton, was sentenced to 11 years in State Prison followed by 3 years post-release supervision after being found guilty as a second felony offender of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance & 2 counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia, by a jury in Broome County Court In January, the Broome County Special Investigations Unit executed a narcotics search warrant At Young's residence in Binghamton, he was in possession of cocaine and implements of narcotics trafficking.

38 year old Nikita Kingsbury of Sidney appeared in Delaware County Court Monday and was sentenced to a 2-year period of incarceration to be followed by two years of post-release supervision. Kingsbury previously pleaded guilty to 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Sell, On July 13, 2023, Kingsbury was indicted by the Delaware County Grand Jury on allegations that she sold methamphetamine in the Village of Sidney on August 11, 2022. Shortly afterwards, she was arrested and then released on her own recognizance while the case was pending. Separately, a felony complaint was filed against Ms. Kingsbury alleging the sale of illegal narcotics in the Town of Davenport on May 21, 2024.

Village Elections will be held in several local villages tomorrow. Locally in Afton, Sally Muller & Cynthia Burnett are running for Mayor, in Walton, Bruce Dolph, Stephen Condon, Gregory Miller & Joseph Cetta are running for 2 seats on the village board, In Unadilla, Paul Baldwin, Matthew Glynn & Jeff Jones are running for 2 seats on the village board. Polling places will be open Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until 9:00 PM.
The Chenango County Farm Bureau is hosting their annual Agricultural Celebration tomorrow from 11:00 am until 2:00 PM at the Silo Restaurant in Greene This year’s theme is ‘Agriculture: Food for Life”, The keynote speaker will be NY State FFA Vice-President Megan Lamb.
State Police arrested 49 year old Wilford Bridenbaugh of Germantown, Ohio for DWI and several traffic infractions. Troopers were dispatched to Stumptown Road in the town of Bainbridge for a 1 car motor vehicle accident, Troopers discovered Bridenbaugh’s vehicle on its side, in a snow embankment and Bridenbaugh walking from a driveway nearby. He was released on tickets to the town of Bainbridge Court on March 27th.
Country music star Blake Shelton was announced today as this year's concert at the DICK’S Sporting Goods Open. The Golf Tournament will run from August 13th to August 19th at En-Joie Golf Club in Endicott. The concert will be held the evening of Friday, August 17th, tickets go on sale March 28th through Ticketmaster.
State Police arrested 2 men following a traffic stop on State Route 7 in Binghamton. Troopers arrested the driver, 43 year old Kenneth Rauch of Colesville for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and having a Controlled Substance in the Non-Original Container. The passenger of the vehicle, 27 year old Justin Cook of Colesville was arrested for Criminal Possession of Marijuana, both were released on appearance tickets and are due in the City of Binghamton Court on March 30th.
State Police arrested 66 year old Deborah Visceglia of Deposit for Aggravated DWI with a B.A.C of .26% and several traffic infractions after Troopers observed her speeding and unable to maintain her lane on State Route 17 in the town of Windsor. Visceglia was released on tickets and due in the town of Windsor Court on March 21, 2018.
State Police at Oneonta arrested 49 year old Heidi Andreas of Masonville for DWI and several traffic infractions, after they observed her speeding on I-88. Troopers initiated a traffic stop on State Highway 7 in the town of Oneonta, Andreas was released on appearance tickets for Town of Oneonta Court on March 27th.

The Delhi Girls Basketball team won their 1st title in School History Sunday with a thrilling 54-51 overtime win over Franklinville, at the Hudson Valley Community College in Albany. Delhi was 3 points down with 5 seconds to go in regulation, when senior Logan Bruce hit a 3 pointer at the buzzer to send the game into Overtime, WCDO Sports Director Nate Lull & Color Man Dave Smith with that call:

Binghamton Police Department responded to 84 Pine Street Friday morning, where they found 51-year-old Lazar Jones deceased on the front porch, Jones was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. 41 year old Miguel Manchion and 21 year old Courtney Baldwin were both charged with 2nd degree murder The investigation is ongoing. Jennifer Grenchus of Vestal was sentenced Friday in Broome County Court to 5 years of probation, following her serving 11 months in jail, for striking 47 year old Ronald Richardson of Binghamton with her vehicle, Richardson was found pinned underneath. Grenchus' vehicle struck Richardson along Main Street and dragged his body underneath for several yards, before she turned into a parking lot. Richardson died at the scene, Grenchus was impaired by drugs at the time, she pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide in November.

State Police arrested 49 year old Wilford Bridenbaugh of Germantown, Ohio for DWI and several traffic infractions. Troopers were dispatched to Stumptown Road in the town of Bainbridge for a 1 car motor vehicle accident, Troopers discovered Bridenbaugh’s vehicle on its side, in a snow embankment and Bridenbaugh walking from a driveway nearby. He was released on tickets to the town of Bainbridge Court on March 27th.

The Golf Tournament will run from August 13th to August 19th at En-Joie Golf Club in Endicott. State Police arrested 2 men following a traffic stop on State Route 7 in Binghamton. Troopers arrested the driver, 43 year old Kenneth Rauch of Colesville for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and having a Controlled Substance in the Non-Original Container. The passenger of the vehicle, 27 year old Justin Cook of Colesville was arrested for Criminal Possession of Marijuana, both were released on appearance tickets and are due in the City of Binghamton Court on March 30th.
State Police arrested 66 year old Deborah Visceglia of Deposit for Aggravated DWI with a B.A.C of .26% and several traffic infractions after Troopers observed her speeding and unable to maintain her lane on State Route 17 in the town of Windsor. Visceglia was released on tickets and due in the town of Windsor Court on March 21, 2018.
State Police at Oneonta arrested 49 year old Heidi Andreas of Masonville for DWI and several traffic infractions, after they observed her speeding on I-88. Troopers initiated a traffic stop on State Highway 7 in the town of Oneonta, Andreas was released on appearance tickets for Town of Oneonta Court on March 27th.

The Delhi Girls Basketball team won their 1st title in School History Sunday with a thrilling 54-51 overtime win over Franklinville, at the Hudson Valley Community College in Albany. Delhi was 3 points down with 5 seconds to go in regulation, when senior Logan Bruce hit a 3 pointer at the buzzer to send the game into Overtime, WCDO Sports Director Nate Lull & Color Man Dave Smith with that call:

Binghamton Police Department responded to 84 Pine Street Friday morning, where they found 51-year-old Lazar Jones deceased on the front porch, Jones was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. 41 year old Miguel Manchion and 21 year old Courtney Baldwin were both charged with 2nd degree murder The investigation is ongoing.
