Jennifer Grenchus of Vestal was sentenced Friday in Broome County Court to 5 years of probation, following her serving 11 months in jail, for striking 47 year old Ronald Richardson of Binghamton with her vehicle, Richardson was found pinned underneath. Grenchus' vehicle struck Richardson along Main Street and dragged his body underneath for several yards, before she turned into a parking lot. Richardson died at the scene, Grenchus was impaired by drugs at the time, she pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide in November.

36 year old Jennifer Grenchus of Vestal pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide in Broome County Court on Friday. Grenchus was impaired by drugs on April 24th, when police responded to the parking lot of Tom's Cards and Gifts at 184 Main Street in Binghamton where they found that Grenchus hit 47 year old Ronald Richardson of Binghamton along Main Street and dragged his body underneath for several yards, before she turned into Tom's parking lot, Richardson died at the scene. Grenchus will be sentenced February 6.

Binghamton Police charged 36-year-old Jennifer Grenchus of Vestal with Vehicular Manslaughter, for allegedly driving while impaired by drugs when she hit and killed 47-year-old Ronald Richardson of Binghamton with her car Monday afternoon. Binghamton Police responded to the parking lot of Tom’s Cards and Gifts on Main Street where they found Grenchus and her vehicle, with Richardson pinned underneath. Police, Firefighters & civilians flipped the Grenchus vehicle off of Richardson, who died at the scene before EMT's could respond. Grenchus struck Richardson along Main Street; dragging his body underneath her vehicle before turning into Tom’s parking lot. Grenchus was arraigned in City Court where she was remanded to the custody of the Broome County Jail.
