Morris Fire Fighters responded to a blaze at a vacant house at 50 South Broad Street Saturday at around 5:15 pm. Mutual aid was received from fire fighters in West Laurens, South New Berlin, Gilbertsville, Pittsfield, Edmeston, Unadilla and Otego, the cause of the fire is under investigation, no injuries were reported.

Anielle "AK" McEwan Lomnicki has been cleared to play basketball at the Gus Macker Tournament in Norwich next Month, AK suffered numerous injuries when she was struck by a drunk driver while walking home from school in Sidney February 15th, she told WCDO News that she is excited & ahead of schedule in her ongoing recovery:

The work is underway on the Norwich Water Main Projects under South Broad Street, and East Main Street. City of Norwich Community Development Director Erik Scrivener said that the projects are underway & they are still waiting on the federal money:

Deputies observed a vehicle that had left the roadway and came to rest in the Ditch. Deputies charged Michael Catapano with DWI, Driving with a BAC greater than 0.08%, Failure to keep Right, Catapano was released on uniform traffic summons returnable to the Town of Franklin Court.

48-year-old Jeremy Griffin of Endicott pleaded guilty to felony Assault in Broome County Court. In August, Griffin repeatedly punched a 32-year-old woman in the face, fracturing her jaw, during a domestic dispute at an apartment on East Main Street in Endicott. He was also in violation of a court order of protection prohibiting him from contact with the woman. Griffin has a prior felony conviction for burglary in 1993. He will be sentenced to 4 years in New York State prison on May 16.
