State Police arrested 20 year old Brandon Carlson of Endwell for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, Criminal Mischief, Reckless Endangerment & 2nd degree Assault Monday. Shortly before 3:00 p.m., a trooper spotted Carlson in a truck that had been involved in a hit and run in the village of Endicott. The trooper attempted to stop the vehicle, but Carlson failed to comply. A short distance later, Carlson crashed into another vehicle on Country Club Road in Endwell, he fled on foot and was ultimately taken into custody. Carlson was transported to Wilson Hospital and was treated and released. Carlson was processed then transported to Broome County Central Arraignment and Processing. The driver of the vehicle that was struck by Carlson on Country Club Road is identified as 90 year old Eileen Patch of Endwell, She was transported to Wilson Hospital and is being treated for injuries sustained in the crash. The investigation is on-going by state Police & Endicott Police.

Otsego County Sheriff's Office arrested 43 year old Dennis Kropp of Oneonta on outstanding warrants after a traffic stop in the Town of Hartwick Tuesday. Kropp was charged with Speeding, operating an Uninspected Motor Vehicle & other charges, Kropp was taken into custody for the warrants out of the Oneonta City Court, he was turned over to Oneonta Police Department to await arraignment, Kropp was order to appear in Town of Hartwick Court at a later for the traffic violations.

James will first be at Binghamton General Hospital at 11:00 AM where she will be joined by Broome County Executive Jason Garnar & other local leaders.

Governor Kathy Hochul today announced $7.4 million in federal funding is available to county emergency management agencies in New York State to support planning and operational readiness for any type of disaster. Through the annual federal Emergency Management Performance Grant, awardees can access funding to support a wide range of efforts ranging from the development and implementation of training and exercises to acquiring emergency response resources. Locally, Chenango County gets $23,428, Delaware County gets $22,516 & Otsego County gets $27,729.
The American Red Cross is experiencing an emergency blood and platelet shortage and must collect 10,000 additional blood products each week over the next month for the blood supply to recover and meet hospital and patient needs. Donors of all blood types, especially type O, are urged to make an appointment to give blood by using the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS. A blood drive is being held in Schenevus today from 2:00 to 7:00 PM at the Schenevus Central School.

Village of Delhi Police Department arrested 28-year-old Andrew Kreger for Reckless Driving, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Improper Passing. Kreger was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Delhi Town Court at a later date.

The statewide single-day COVID-19 positivity rate dropped to 0.44% Wednesday, and the 7-day rolling average dropped to 0.60%, & hospitalizations from COVID statewide fell below 1,000 to 970 for the first time since October 21st of last year. There were 245 ICU patients with 143 on ventilators Wednesday, over 128,000 tests were administered with 565 positive tests, and there were 10 COVID attributed deaths. The State Health Department reported that 46.3% of New Yorkers have completed their full Vaccine series.

State Police responded Tuesday Night to the Perch Pond Cemetery on Nabinger Hill Road in Colesville for a report of a vehicle that struck a tree. 20 Year old Joshua Klee of Nineveh was the only occupant and was pronounced dead at the scene.
