The Training is free, & will cover how to prepare for a disaster, how to respond to one & how to recover as quickly as [possible. Oneonta Police Department reported that they have received complaints from a number of citizens indicating that they have received scam phone calls from an unknown person claiming to be a representative of a police department in Florida. The scammer claims that they are performing a donation drive and asks for money. Oneonta Police reminds area residents to contact & donate to reputable charities that are well known to conduct releif efforts for those affected by natural disasters.
