36 year old Jamie Blewett of Norwich was sentenced to consecutive prison terms of 1 to 3 years this week, she had pleaded guilty in July to 2 counts each for robbery & grand larceny, in connection with Bank Robberies in May at the People’s Security Bank and Trust in the Town of Chenango, and another robbery a week later at the at People’s Security Bank in Conklin.

State Police arrested 30-year-old Todd Hamilton of Unadilla for menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance, 35-year-old Nathan Diamond of Unadilla and 33-year-old Jodi Babcock of Sidney for criminal possession of a controlled substance on Thursday. Troopers responded to report of a two men fighting in a car in Preston. Hamilton was driving, he allegedly tried to stab Diamond with a knife, and Babcock called 911. The 3 were found to be in possession of heroin, they were arraigned in Town of Oxford court and were remanded to the Chenango County jail on bail pending court action Tuesday.

Governor Cuomo announced a partnership between New York State and Project Lifesaver International to provide life-saving equipment and training for 50 law enforcement agencies to assist in missing child searches, for children with Autism, Down syndrome or another type of cognitive impairment that puts them at risk for wandering or becoming lost. 596 personal transmitters will be provided to agencies through an agreement between the state Division of Criminal Justice Services and Project Lifesaver. Sheriffs’ offices in the following 21 counties will receive transmitters, including Broome County, sheriffs’ offices that already partner with Project Lifesaver will each receive 11 transmitters to add to their existing supply, including in
Chenango, Delaware, & Otsego counties locally.
The Otsego county health department will host another free rabies clinic in Oneonta today. The clinic will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Neahwa Park.
