The process for the new nickname at the Sidney Central School District is in the next phase. The 2nd survey, which allows people to submit their favorite nickname, is now open. The survey will require a person's name, email address, your connection to the Sidney CSD, and the option to select a nickname, Sidney Superintendent Eben Bullock comments:

The survey link is available on Facebook, and at sidneycsd.org/nicknamechange. The survey will remain open through Tuesday, October 31. Only one submission per email is allowed.
The Jericho Arts Council will have a bluegrass concert and a gallery exhibit Saturday night, Council Spokesman Phil Wade explains:

The Oxtober Festival will take place from 10 am. to 4 pm. on Sunday, October 22, at LaFayette Park in Oxford. Activities include pumpkin carvings, a scarecrow contest, music from the Nate Gross Band, food trucks, a kid zone, vendors and more. The events was rescheduled after it was postponed earlier this month due to inclement weather.
