The Otsego County Conservation Association’s annual “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” Garage Sale will be held on Saturday and Sunday, April 29 and 30 in the Cooperstown FarmersMarket building at 101 Main Street (in Pioneer Alley), Cooperstown. More than 200 fire departments have signed up for the 7th annual Recruit New York weekend, according to the Firemen's Association of the State of New York. Firehouses across the State will open their doors to the public in an effort to increase membership in the volunteer fire service. Firefighters will be conducting tours of their facilities, demonstrating firefighting techniques, and allowing visitors to try on turnout gear. Walton Police arrested 3 Walton residents Saturday on various drug charges, following a 6-month investigation. Arrested were 44-year-old Sueann Maler, 34-year-old James Laughman & 32-year-old Jessica Bolster, for criminal sale of a controlled substance. The investigation was wrapped up with sealed indictments being handed down by a Delaware County Grand Jury last week, all 3 were sent to Delaware County jail pending future court action.
