Hartwick will be named in honor of United States Marine Corps Sergeant John
Kempe Winslow under legislation signed into law. The bill sponsored by Senator Jim Seward and
Assemblyman John Salka pays tribute to the decorated Marine who was killed in
action during the Vietnam War in 1969. A
formal sign installation will be scheduled by the State Department of
Transportation at a later date.
