A special election to pick a successor to George Santos, will be held on February 13th, according to the Governor's office. Santos was the 6th person expelled from the US House of Representatives in the country's history Former area Congressman Tom Suozzi may be the Democratic Party choice, he had served that district for 6 years before making a run from Governor. Several Republicans are vying to keep the seat Republican after Santos's ouster, he was expelled last week following a scandal-plagued tenure in Congress and a looming criminal trial.

Binghamton Police Department is investigating the discover of a deceased individual after a body was discovered near the Rockbottom Dam last weekend. So far their is no indication of foul play, and the investigation is ongoing.

Lee Zeldin defeated 3 Republicans others on Primary day to win the party nomination in the race for Governor. Primaries for Congress & The State Senate will be held August 23rd.

A new Sienna College Poll shows that 2/3 of New Yorkers and more than 50% of Democrats think that former Governor Andrew Cuomo shouldn’t run for Governor again this year. If Cuomo enters the race against Kathy Hochul, he trails her 38-30%, Hochul was Cuomo’s lieutenant governor before he resigned in August. Hochul still has a commanding lead in the upcoming primary, over announced candidates New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams and Long Island Congressman Tom Suozzi.

Governor Kathy Hochul was picked Thursday in New York City as the Democratic party's choice for the 2022 race for Governor. Hochul has more than $21 million in her campaign warchest, she earned 85.6% of the weighted vote at the Democratic Party convention Thursday, she will likely still face primary challenges from Congressman Tom Suozzi and New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams.

Hochul has the support of 46% of Democrats, 11% favor New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, and 6% support Long Island Congressman Tom Suozzi, with 24% unsure, according to a new Siena College poll of registered New York State voters released today.

The latest Siena College Poll has Governor Kathy Hochul with a big lead over her Democratic challengers in the 2022 gubernatorial race. Hochul had 36%, followed by Attorney General Letitia James with 18%, New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams with 10% and Congressman Tom Suozzi with 6%, tied with New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, who is considering a bid for governor.

Long Island Democratic Congressman Tom Suozzi announced that he is running for New York Governor in 2022. Suozzi becomes the 4th Democrat to announce a run for Governor, following current Governor Kathy Hochul, Attorney General Letitia James & New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams. Suozzi has been a congressman since 2016, he recently ruened down an invitation to Join the administration of the next New York City Mayor Eric Adams.

Chief Oliver said that while some of the dealerships are technically out of their jurisdiction, they still patrol that area, and they work cooperatively with the State Police & local Sheriff's Departments if an issue arises.

Delaware County Public Health continues to see a high positivity rate of COVID 19, 12.08% of all tested Saturday through Monday have the virus, there were 76 new cases, there are 202 active cases, 14 hospitalized & 218 quarantined. 53.2 of Delaware County Residents are fully vaccinated, 80% of the positive cases are unvaccinated.
