The Otsego County Sheriffs department arrested 32 year old Robert Colvin of Unadilla, for allegedly breaking into a woman’s house, shoving the victim & stealing prescription medication, Colvin was charged robbery and grand larceny; Colvin was arraigned in the Town of Unadilla Court and was sent to the county jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.

The Otsego County Sheriffs department arrested 59-year-old Rhonda Wing of Morris for DWI Saturday after she crashed her car in the Town of Pittsfield. Wing was arraigned at the Pittsfield Town Court and is expected to reappear December 21st.

The Sidney Police Department will have a new Chief sworn in at tonight’s Village Board meeting, and then Jan Gorshack will replace Mike Hood as chief officially Thursday. Gorshack told WCDO news about taking over as the Sidney Police Chief:

On Sunday, the Delaware County Sheriffs Deputies arrested 25-year-old Cody Satkowski of Fish’s Eddy, after Satkowski was involved in a motor vehicle accident on County Highway 17 in the Town of Hancock. Satkowski was in possession of marihuana and found to be operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, he was charged with aggravated DWI and unlawful possession of marihuana & he will appear at the Town of Hancock Court at a later date.

Delaware County Sheriffs department arrested 37-year-old Yurian Perez and 31-year-old Yuniel Brito, both from New Jersey, for Criminal Possession of Marijuana, Unlawful Cultivation of Marijuana, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. The charges are the result of a month long investigation into alleged marijuana growing operation at 9179 County Highway 21 in the Town of Franklin. The execution of a Search Warrant resulted in the seizure of lighting, ventilation and irrigation equipment, 328 plants, a crossbow, a metal knuckle knife& a vehicle. Both were arraigned & were remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $75,000 cash bail or $150,000 bond. The investigation continues, and more charges against additional suspects are likely.

Delaware County Sheriffs Deputies arrested 69 year old James Maynard of East Meredith for unlawfully growing cannabis. Maynard had contacted authorities in reference to a missing person, when Deputies located an area within the residence which was being used to grow cannabis. Maynard was released with an appearance ticket where he will return to the Town of Kortright Court at a later date.

The Delaware County Sheriffs department conducted an investigation into a physical altercation in the Town of Andes, Deputies arrested 34 year old Jennifer Myers & 39 year old Christopher Fairbairn of Arkville for strangulation and unlawful imprisonment. Both were arraigned in the Town of Andes Court & were remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2500 bail.

The Delaware county sheriffs department responded to a 3-car personal injury accident in Stamford yesterday. 23-year-old Kevin Matthew of New City crossed the double yellow line on State Route 23, striking a vehicle operated by 37-year-old William Eklund of Stamford. The force of the collision forced Eklund's vehicle to hit a parked car, which was occupied by 62-year-old Margaret Smith of Otego. All involved were taken to Fox Hospital in Oneonta for treatment, Mathew was ticketed for failure to keep right, speed not reasonable & Prudent, he will face court action on June 27th.

Governor Cuomo today announced more than $453,000 in state grants to enable 39 police departments and sheriffs' offices to purchase new electronic fingerprinting equipment. With this investment, the state has provided nearly $1.2 million to local law enforcement since last fall, enabling a total of 90 agencies across the state to replace existing devices that are old or obsolete.

Squires was held in the Chenango County Correctional Facility on charges of 3rd degree Rape & Endangering the Welfare of a Child, he is accused of communicating with the victim of those crimes while incarcerated. Squires will face action in Town of Norwich Court shortly.

Governor Cuomo announced New York State is providing 235 police departments and sheriffs’ offices with state-of-the-art radar units, investing more than $343,000 to replace old or obsolete devices. This is the first time in nearly 2 decades that the state has provided this funding, which will allow agencies to more effectively target reckless drivers. The need for new technology was identified by the state Division of Criminal Justice Services Highway Safety Technology Unit, which annually performs preventative maintenance and repairs on about 5,500 radar devices, many were too costly to repair, others lacked an ‘instant on’ feature and some were too large for newer-model police cruisers.

The Delaware county sheriffs department arrested 2 Walton men on drug charges following the execution of a Search Warrant Friday. Arrested were 29-year-old Cory Costello and 27-year-old Antonio Felice, deputies seized . heroin, prescription controlled substances, hypodermic instruments, marijuana and nearly $500 cash. Felice was also in possession of a Public Assistance Benefit card. Costello and Felice were each charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, more charges are expected. Both were arraigned in the Town of Walton Court & were remanded to the Delaware County Jail, Felice was ordered held on $100,000 cash bail, Costello was held on$50,000 cash bail.

Former Clinton County Correctional Facility Guard Gene Palmer pleaded guilty in court on today to Promoting prison contraband and official misconduct, for smuggling tools to Richard Matt & David Sweat last year, prior to their escape from jail & a 3 week long manhunt. Palmer was sentenced him to 6 months in jail and he was fine $5,000, and was forced to resign his position. Matt was shot and killed by State Police, Sweat was wounded and apprehended by police and has been sent to a different jail to serve out his term for killing Broome County Sheriffs deputy Kevin Tarsia in 2002.

Deputies and Investigators arrested 30-year-old Tara McMullen of Hobart for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance; she is accused of selling Suboxone in April, 2015. 30-year-old Joseph Viola of Stamford was arrested on 3 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance; he is accused of selling Suboxone. McMullen and Viola were arraigned in Delaware County Court and were remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility without bail.

The Otsego County Sheriffs department arrested 20-year-old Eric Ferguson Jr of Oneonta for allegedly selling narcotics and marijuana to undercover officers at the Oneonta Wal-mart parking lot. Ferguson was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance, the investigation continued and Officers arrested his father, 43 year old Eric Ferguson Sr. & 45 year old Linda Lee Clow, of Oneonta for allegedly supplying the narcotics to his son to sell. Ferguson Sr. was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance, Clow was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. All 3 were arraigned & were remanded to the Otsego County Jail on bail pending future court action.

Broome County Sheriffs arrested 31 year old Courtni Rozelle of Dickinson on a variety of drug charges, after pulling her over for driving a vehicle with a cracked windshield & driving without wearing a safety belt. Police accuse Rozelle of giving a false name, as she was wanted a warrant for her arrest & she was driving with a suspended license. Rozelle was charged with 3 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, plus Criminal Impersonation, Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle. She is being held at the Broome County Jail on $1,000 bail.
