Angels Gate animal shelter of Delhi has been padlocked, and the owner of the facility faces 22 counts of animal cruelty.  PETA began investigating Angel’s gate following an appearance by owner Susan Marion of the Oprah Winfrey show, they claimed that Marino’s claims of hospice & rehabilitation for the animals was false.  Angel's Gate was forced to close as part of a settlement of a lawsuit involving the New York State Office of the Attorney General office regarding financial donations; Marino faces the animal cruelty charges in Delaware county court.
