22 year old Jordan Swan of Chenango is facing multiple charges after traveling at excessive speeds and fleeing patrols multiple times in the Town of Chenango last Thursday. Road Patrol observed a motorcycle driving at an excessive speed and passing a red light, he failed to stop & he lost control and tipped over, he attempted to leave again & was stopped by a deployed taser & was taken into custody. Swan was charged with Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer, Obstructing Governmental Administration and several Traffic Violations, he was arrested, arraigned and released after being issued appearance tickets to appear at the Town of Chenango Court at a later date.
Otsego County Sheriff's Office arrested 33 year old Dustin Light of Unadilla for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation & Speeding following a traffic stop on September 7, in the Town of Otego. Light was issued tickets returnable to Town of Otego Court at a later date.

The Delaware County Sheriff's Office is investigating a crash that killed a Walton Couple Tuesday. Raymond & Joan Light of Walton were killed in the crash on Franklin Depot Road, they were pronounced dead at the scene, the investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing.

The Raymond Job Fair will be Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, at 22 South Canal Street in Greene.
The Norwich City School District reported that on Early Friday morning, cafeteria staff in the Gibson school were following protocol, washing bananas to serve our students, employees discovered a scorpion in the bananas. It was quickly contained. Cafeteria and custodial staff followed all protocols and no staff or students were harmed in the discovery. In addition, High School Zoology students were able to capitalize on the discovery and feed it crickets and study it under a glow light. Norwich school Officials believe that the scorpion traveled to Norwich from Guatemala, in the banana box.

Chamber of Commerce will co-host the "Hiring Our Heroes Veterans Business

American Legion at 22 Union Street in Sidney.
The event is co-sponsored by the State Department of Labor, The Delaware

Commerce. Also, Community Bank NA announced that they will be on hand donating
Green Light Bulbs, while supplies last, in support of all Veterans.

5th annual Community Job Fair will be held today at SUNY Morrisville’s Norwich
campus from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.    The
