State Police arrested 33-year-old Eleanor Black of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for 20 felonies.  Black was charged with 3rd degree Grand Larceny, 7 counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument, 6 counts of Falsifying Business Records, and 6 counts of Offering a False Instrument for Filing.  The charges followed a yearlong investigation of crimes in the Schoharie Valley Region.  Black was arraigned and will return to Town of Esperance Court at a later date.

The American Red Cross of the Southern Tier will host a babysitters training class for youth ages 11 to 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Red Cross office at 620 E. Main St, Endicott. To register visit redcross.org
