Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a 3-car accident on State Highway 10 in the Town of Hamden on October 5th, near the intersection of County Highway 16. Deputies reported that a vehicle driven by 75 year old Maryann Stanczyk of Downsville and another vehicle driven by 49 year old Frank Levan of Hamden; were stopped in the southbound lane of State Highway 10 as they waited for a tractor trailer to make a left turn into a parking lot when Levan’s vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by 38 year old Julie Murphy of Downsville. Levan’s vehicle was pushed into the rear of the Stanczyk vehicle. Deputies charged Murphy with following too closely, she will appear in Town of Delhi Court at a later date.
