More holiday parades are scheduled locally the following weekend in Bainbridge & Unadilla.

The Harris Memorial Library in Otego will host their annual "Silver Tea" Sunday at 1:00 PM. Winners for the raffle will be announced for those who purchased tickets in the last 4 weeks.

Anyone interested in participating in the parade can just line up in the plaza paring lot, there is no pre-registration required.

The Afton Village Christmas Parade will be held Saturday, with the line up at 5:15 & the parade starts at 6:00 PM. Award Plaques will be awarded for the top 3 best interpretations of a Dickens Christmas Carol.

The Village of Afton has scheduled their Christmas parade & festivities for tomorrow. Due to the current Bridge Construction, a New Parade Line up Location has been announced, on Court Street by the Afton Central School Athletic Fields, and the parking lot behind the Afton bus garage. The parade will go along State Route 41 & go along Main Street, participants are asked to arrive no later than 4:15pm. Also, live music is scheduled from Frankie Cepero starting at 4:00 pm in front of the NBT Bank, there will be refreshments provided by the Greater Afton Chamber of Commerce in the VFW.

Other Activities planned include Musical Performances by Unatego High School Band, & the Unadilla Rotary Club Basket Raffles. The Home for the Holidays Parade Hosted by Destination Oneonta will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon on Main Street in Oneonta. Following the Parade will be the 2nd Annual Gingerbread Jubilee & Gingerbread Contest in the Foothills Performing Arts Center Atrium. The Inaugural Festival of the Trees will be held in the Foothills Production Room.

Village yard sales will be held at Saturday various homes, as well as in the former Mirabito Fuel Group Parking Lot on Grand Street. Also, The Cruise in on Main Street tonight was originally scheduled as part of the Sidney Arts & Music Festival last month; Money raised will benefit the chambers efforts for this year's Jolly Holly days parade in December.

The Sidney Chamber of Commerce will host a Sidney Village Sale Day on Saturday. Spaces will be available at the Old Mirabito's Parking Lot, behind Trackside Diner at 44 Grand Street. A map of people who are participating will be at local businesses and at the Car Cruise In tonight on Main Street. All proceeds will support the Jolly Holly Day Parade.

O'Connor Hospital will host its 17th Annual Holiday Parade and Open House on Saturday at 11:00 AM, it will begin at SUNY Delhi at 2 Main Street finish behind the Senator Charles D. Cook county office building at 111 Main Street. Following the parade the community is invited to O'Connor Hospital for free refreshments in the hospital café. The Jolly Holly Days Committee of the Sidney Chamber of Commerce will once again sponsor the annual Jolly Holly Days parade on Friday, December 4th. The theme this year is Dr. Seuss Christmas. There will be awards and cash prizes, which will be judged by a panel. The parade will begin at 6:30 pm with line up beginning at 5:30 pm.
