Governor Cuomo & SUNY & CUNY officials announced
today that the campuses will all be closing on March 19th, for the rest of the
spring semester.  The steps are being
taken to cut try to stop the potential spread of the Coronavirus in large
lecture halls & at athletic events, classes will continue until the end of
the spring semester online.  Governor
Cuomo also suggested that Business owners should consider letting employees
work from home, or stagger work shifts to slow the potential spread of the
coronavirus in large work groups.
SUNY Morrisville is offering a Free Play Group with Early
Childhood Students in a free program, to be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at
the Norwich Campus, in Follett Hall.  An
Open House will be held tonight & tomorrow, Spokesperson Margaret Hoose

The Open Houses are today from 5:00 PM to 7 PM &
Tomorrow morning from 8:00 AM to 12 PM, the Play Group dates are Tuesdays and

State Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker has recommended
new emergency measures to contain the coronavirus cluster of 108 people in New
Rochelle. The protocols include closing schools, houses of worship and other
large gathering facilities for a 2 weeks, Governor Cuomo has deployed National
Guard troops to deliver food to homes and help with cleaning public spaces in
the containment area.   The Governor
confirmed 31 additional cases of the Coronavirus, bringing the statewide total
to 173.
