Raymond Corporation of Greene contributed to more than 150
nonprofit and educational organizations, spanning a variety of causes and efforts
this year, with monetary contributions, forklift donations and voluntary
participation of Raymond associates’ time.

Leadership Otsego is looking for applicants to participate in next year's 6-month program to broaden knowledge of community organizations and sharpen leadership skills. Leadership Otsego meets 1 day a month from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, primarily in Oneonta with excursions to various locations around the county. a Blood Drive in Sidney Next week. The Blood
drive will be held on Monday at the AO Fox Hospital Tri-Town Campus from 1:30
to 6:30 PM, appointments are requested at 1-800-red cross or redcrossblood.org.

The exhibit, titled “Second Chances: Susquehanna SPCA,” The
opening reception will be held from 5:30 to 7:00 PM today in the museum’s
Community Gallery and is free and open to the public, the exhibit will be open
through the end of the month.

Democrat Jim Barber of Middleburgh will challenge State
Senator James Seward for the Senate next year. Barber announced he will hold a
campaign launch event on Saturday, December 14th. Barber’s public service includes 7 years as
the New York State Executive Director for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s
Farm Service Agency and 2 years in the State Department of Agriculture and
Markets as a Special Assistant to the Commissioner. Seward was first elected to
the state senate in 1986.
