Delaware County Sheriff's Office arrested 22 year old Devin Castillo of Walton for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Unlicensed Operator and No license Plate Lamps. Castillo was stopped by Deputies on November 5th, a check of Castillo’s driver’s license revealed that his driving privileges were revoked. Castillo was released and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Colchester Court at a later date.

Governor Kathy Hochul today announced that more than $33 million in Community Development Block Grant funding has been awarded to dozens of municipalities for local infrastructure improvement and housing rehabilitation projects. The City of Oneonta will use more than $200,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds to replace 30 water service laterals for low- to moderate-income households.

3 men were arrested for Criminal Mischief for allegedly
vandalizing the Oneonta Walmart on January 7th. Troopers were dispatched to
Walmart and Office Max for 3 suspicious males, after Employees from Walmart
told troopers that 3 men vandalized their Arts & Crafts area & then
attempted to enter Office Max. On
January 11th, State Police arrested 19 year old Devin Castillo of Walton
following a rollover accident in Sidney Center which also involved several
parked cars. An investigation revealed
that Castillo was arrested For DWI, he was implicated in the Walmart case,
police arrested Castillo, 21 year old Jamie Sophie of Unadilla, & 21 year
old Nathaniel Rubera of Unadilla, all 3 were released on appearance tickets for
Oneonta Court at a later date.

the vandalism at Walmart on January 7th.
Castillo was located by Troopers after he was involved in rollover
accident in Sidney Center in which he also struck several parked vehicles, he
was charged with DWI, troopers learned that Castillo was 1 of the suspects in
the Walmart case, he faces action in Sidney & Oneonta Courts shortly, State
police stated that 2 suspects have not yet been arrested, & the case is
still under investigation.
State Senator Jim Seward announced approval of legislation
to help increase safety for limousine passengers. The comprehensive package of bills is a
direct result of the limousine crash in 2018 in the Town of Schoharie:

Senator Seward co-sponsored 8 of the bills to ensure drivers
undergo drug and alcohol testing, create a state hotline for the public to
report safety concerns, and allow the commissioner of the DOT to immobilize or
impound a limousine with certain defects.
An agreement was reached to pass the bills by Governor Cuomo &
legislative leaders Tuesday.
