Next Tuesday, from 6pm - 7:30pm, Broome County Sheriff Fred Akshar will be hosting a Public Safety Town Hall for residents of Windsor and the surrounding communities. The Public Safety Town Hall will take place at the Village of Windsor Community House, located at 107 Main St. in Windsor. Community members are invited to attend and hear the latest public safety updates, ask questions and discuss how to help make Windsor and the surrounding communities safer for residents and motorists.

Otsego County Sheriff's Office arrested 3 people following the execution of a search warrant in the Town of Laurens. 31 year old Ronald Neu of Laurens was charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition Feeding Devices. 21 year old Christopher Beech, was arrested on an outstanding warrant , as was 23 year old Alyssa Jones, & 20 year old Rafail Tsiraouglou. Deputies & Oneonta Police executed a search warrant, all individuals were detained for further investigation, Beech and Jones were turned over to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police respectively, Tsiraouglou was turned over to Immigration Officials. Weapons & narcotics were seized, Neu was lodged in the Otsego County Correctional Facility for arraignment.
