The State Police issued 21,148 tickets during this year's "Speed Week" campaign, which was conducted from Wednesday, August 2nd through Tuesday, August 8th. Troopers issued 9,205 tickets for speeding, 348 for distracted driving and arrested 234 people for driving while impaired. State Police also responded to 268 personal injury accidents, which resulted in 5 fatalities and 393 people injured.

Today is the final day to register for the Delaware County Senior Fun Day, which will be held on Wednesday August 23rd at Camp Shankitunk in Delhi & is sponsored by the Delaware County Office for the Aging & the Delaware County Senior Council. Registrations can be made at 832-5750.
