The Norwich Theater Company will perform "Nunsense The Mega- Musical" this weekend at the Martin W. Kappel Theater in Norwich, spokesman Terry Colf told WCDO News about the interactive comedy musical:

The shows will be Friday night at 7:00 PM & Saturday & Sunday at 2:00 PM, tickets are available at the door or through norwichtheatercompany.org.

The Borden Hose Company in Mount Upton, will hold their annual Community day this Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The day will include vendors, a LifeNet Demonstration, car show & music from the Beadle Brothers. More information is available at 434-1636.

State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying 2 individuals connected to a burglary that occurred on May 27, 2025, on Colesville Road in the town of Kirkwood. The suspects were last seen operating a 2010 Honda Civic with Pennsylvania license plate MNM7338. Pictures of the suspects & the vehicle can be found on the State Police Facebook page, Police stated that Please should not approach the individuals, who may be in possession of long guns. State Senator Fred Akshar announced 12 funding grants to support local volunteer fire departments and emergency services squads totaling $155,000. The grants will go toward a variety of projects depending on the needs of each department. Locally, the Borden Hose Company will receive $10,000; Greene Fire Department will get $15,000; the Norwich Fire Department Emergency Squad will get $10,000.

Locally, the Unadilla fire departmten will hold an open house from 11:00 to 2:00 at the fire house on Clifton street, the Borden Hose Fire Company of Rockdale & Mount Upton will hold an open house Saturday, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM; The Afton fire department will also be holding an open house at their station that will run from 9:00 to 3:00 on Saturday. Sidney village officials announced that crews would pick up brush, leaves; grass clippings weed stalks and hedge trimmings starting Monday morning. Those items must be placed at the curb by 7:00 AM for pickup.
