This past January, Bassett Research Institute launched an investigation surrounding health care access and the use of telemedicine within Bassett Healthcare Network. The project was funded by a $50,000 grant from the National Institute for Health Care Management, after Bassett and other Hospitals around the country had to move to a telemedicine model on the fly as COVID numbers spiked. Bassett Healthcare Network is putting in place new visitation guidelines at its hospital and clinic locations starting Today. All people who enter Bassett Healthcare Network’s buildings must wear a properly fitting surgical-grade mask during the entirety of their visit and participate in screening procedures upon entrance, including temperature checks and a brief questionnaire.
