Anthony Pacherille Jr. of Cooperstown was released on parole
from the Clinton Correctional Facility this week. Pacherille had been sentenced to an 11-year
prison term after shooting his classmate, Wesley Lippitt in the arm at the
Cooperstown police Station in a racially motivated attack; he then turned the
gun on himself, shooting himself in the chin in April of 2010.

The Appellate Division, Third Department has rejected an appeal from Anthony Pacherille Jr. of Cooperstown, of the 11-year prison term in Otsego county court for a 2010 shooting in Cooperstown. The ruling stated that there was no bias against Pacherille by Otsego county judge Brian Burns in his sentencing of Pacherille, for the racially motivated shooting of Wesley Lippitt. Pacherille pleading guilty to 2nd degree attempted murder for that shooting.
