27 year old Vincent Cavalieri was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge in Oneida County Court for injuring 2 people in a Camden Restaurant when he accidentally discharged his firearm. Cavalieri pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment, in additional to the conditional discharge, he will be resigning from the Cooperstown Police Department, he will have his pistol license suspended for a year.

Cavalieri pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment, in additional to the conditional discharge, he will be resigning from the Cooperstown Police Department, he will have his pistol license suspended for a year.
State Police arrested 27-year-old Vincent Cavalieri from Schenevus after he was involved in an incident that occurred on September 12 in 2020 in Camden. Cavalieri was off-duty from the Otsego County Sheriff's Department when he accidentally discharged his personally owned firearm in his pants pocket, resulting in the injury of a 10-year-old girl and her mother. Both victims were treated for minor injuries and released. Cavalieri was charged with Reckless Endangerment, he is currently employed as a police officer in Cooperstown. Cavalieri was arraigned in Oneida County Court and was released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear back in Oneida County Court Wednesday.
