The 7th Annual Tom "Uncle Bear" Safford Memorial truck Show will be held Saturday at the Chenango County Fairgrounds, from 8:00 Am to 2:00 PM, money raised will go to the American Cancer Society.

On September 18th, 2024 the Sidney Police Department began an investigation into a social media post that made a threat to several specific students of the Sidney School District. The same threat was also directed to several specific students of the Walton School District. Sidney Police Department has charged a 14 year old female with one count of Making a terroristic threat and four counts of Aggravated harassment, Due to the subject's age she was issued a juvenile appearance ticket to appear at the Delaware County Probation Department and released.

UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital is half a million dollars
closer to its capital campaign goal thanks to a $500,000 commitment from the
Roger Follett Foundation this week.  CMH

Stagnaro said that the Follett foundation gift will be paid
out over the next 5 five years, it follows similar commitments from Blueox,
NBT, Preferred Mutual Insurance company since the capital campaign started in

Church Fall Craft & Vendor Show will be held Saturday from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM, at 34 Spring Street in Afton. Proceeds from vendor’s fees will benefit the

22nd Annual Household Hazardous Waste Days.
The 1st collection day will be Today at the Unadilla Town Barn from 8:00

WCDO News — Tuesday 9-17-19 2 matching stories
State Police at Troop C responded to a report of a child
struck by a vehicle on Anderson Hill Road in the town of Candor.   The investigation revealed two children were
playing and took keys to a Dodge Caravan.
One child started the vehicle and shifted it into gear when a second
child fell out of the car and was struck by the vehicle.  The child was transported to Upstate Medical
Center in Syracuse by Guthrie Life Flight.
The child is listed in serious but stable condition.   The investigation continues into the
incident.
