The Sherburne EMS Squad received a gift from Chobani, a $150,000 ambulance. The new Ambulance was unveiled Tuesday at the Chobani plant, Sherburne Mayor Bill Acee told WCDO News recently that the old ambulance had numerous problems that would cost about $10,000 to repair, and fundraising efforts were underway to get a new ambulance, which will cover the Village of Sherburne and the Fire Departments that protects 3 adjacent townships.

New York lawmakers are expected to conclude work on the state budget by the end of the day today.  The budget is expected to spend a record 200 Billion dollars & is expected to include an increase in taxes on the state's top wage earners, something that governor Cuomo vowed not to do throughout the pandemic.
A Fundraiser is underway to replace a failing 10 year old ambulance owned by the Village of Sherburne, Village Mayor Bill Acee explains:

Mayor Acee said that they need about $150,000 to purchase a fully equipped ambulance that would be ready to go on day one.
Norwich Police arrested 44 year old John Earl Bush Sr. of Sherburne for Robbery, Burglary, menacing & Petty Larceny  Charges.  Bush is accused of breaking down the door of a Norwich home, robbing an individual at knifepoint & leaving the scene with property & cash.  Bush was arraigned in Norwich City Court & was being held without bail pending future court action.  Norwich Police were assisted by New York State Parole & the Chenango County District Attorney’s Office.
