Broome County Sheriff's Office arrested 37 year old Scott Hanrahan of Sanford for Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Criminal Possession of an Assault Weapon & Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. On Saturday Broome County Sheriff’s Road Patrol conducted a traffic stop on Route I-86 West in the Town of Windsor, deputies located cocaine, along with various assault weapons & multiple rounds of ammunition, Hanrahan had previous felony convictions & is facing new charges for illegal weapon and drug possession following the traffic stop. Hanrahan was arraigned at Central Arraignment Part and remains in custody at the Broome County Correctional Facility.

Delaware County Sheriff's Office Investigators arrested 30-year-old Scott Hanrahan of Deposit, 29-year-old Justin Crandall of Sidney, and 27-year-old John Bolster of Hancock, for promoting contraband within the Delaware County Correctional Facility. All 3 are incarcerated at the County Jail on unrelated charges, they are accused of possessing prescription medication prescribed to another inmate, they were charged with 1 count each of Promoting Prison Contraband, they face arraignment on the new charges in the Town of Delhi Court at a later time.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested 30-year-old Scott Hanrahan of Deposit On Thursday on a Sealed Indictment Arrest Warrant after a Delaware County Grand Jury handed down an Indictment for 3 counts Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance. Hanrahan is accused of selling heroin from his Hale Eddy residence, Investigators obtained and executed a search warrant on February 10th and seized approximately 8 grams of bulk heroin, scales, packaging materials, a shotgun, prescription narcotics, marihuana, a kung-fu throwing star and several hundred dollars in cash. Hanrahan was arraigned and was ordered held without bail on the new charges pending further court action.

Investigators seized 8 grams of bulk heroin, scales, packaging materials, a shotgun, prescription narcotics, marihuana, a kung-fu throwing star, several hundred dollars in cash & a Public Assistance Benefit card. Investigators charged 30-year-old Scott Hanrahan and 38 year old Shalayne Sherwood with 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to sell, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, 2 counts Endangering the Welfare of a Child and 1 count of Unlawful Possession of Marihuana. 2 children were in the residence; they were turned over to a relative and resulted in a Child Protective Services Hotline Report being initiated. Hanrahan and Sherwood were arraigned & were remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $250,000 cash bail or $500,000 bail bond. This investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
