Chenango County residents can still sign up to participate or volunteer for the next Household Hazardous waste day this Saturday, Organizer Pat Pittsley explains:

The event will be held from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Chenango County Highway Garage Saturday at the County Highway garage. Registrations or more information is available by calling 337-1792.

On Saturday, dentists with Progressive Dental of Kirkwood, Endwell, Norwich, & Montrose Pennsylvania, and Chenango Bridge Dental will participate in the annual "Doctors With A Heart Program" and will offer free dental care. Spokesperson Michelle Parker explains:

The program started 21 years ago in Iowa and has spread throughout the country. Services will be performed Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, more information is available at 722-5464.

Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 30-year-old Patrick Ford of Delancey, on a Bench Warrant issued by the Town of Delhi Court as a result of Ford’s failure to appear to answer charges of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree and Petit Larceny. Ford was arraigned in the Town of Delhi Court & was remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility on $250 cash bail.

The Electoral Action Working Group of Delaware County Solidarity, has organized a community forum Saturday, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the United Ministry of Delhi at 1 Church Street. Candidates who have officially announced their run for the 19th congressional seat in 2018 will participate. More Information is available at 363-2752.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a 2-car property damage motor vehicle accident at the intersection of River Road and Interstate 88 access road in the Town of Sidney.  A vehicle operated by 64 year old Michael Sisson of Oneonta, was making a left turn off River Road and pulled into the path of a vehicle operated by 59 year old Mark Hopper of Wells Bridge.  Sisson was issued a traffic ticket for fail to yield right of way.

Otsego county residents & businesses will have their household hazardous waste collections today & tomorrow for those who have pre-registered.  The first collection site will be today at the Unadilla town highway building; the second will be at the Meadows office building in Cooperstown tomorrow.  Businesses may participate by bringing their hazardous materials to the Meadows today, and fees may apply.  More information is available at 547-4228.

The Chenango county Department of public works will be holding their annual household hazardous waste collection day on September 14th, but residents with items to dispose of, need to register quickly, according to spokesperson Pat Pittsley:
