Bassett Healthcare Network is partnering with the Oneonta World of Learning to host the 4th annual YOUTH PAINT FEST tomorrow at the Foxcare Center in Oneonta. The event runs from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, it is free & donations to the Oneonta World of Learning will be accepted.

Broome County Sheriff's Office announced that 23 year old Souley Pertilla-Camara of Binghamton was arrested in Orlando, Florida. Pertilla-Camara was wanted by Binghamton City Police for the shooting of Lamont Weaver on June 17, 2023, where Weaver sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen and survived, he was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for Criminal Possession of a Weapon. Pertilla-Camara will be returned to Broome County shortly.

State Police have arrested 3 people in connection with a shooting Saturday morning at 309 Main Street in Otego. Arrested were 32 year old Sara Baker of Davenport, for murderous intent, 51 year old Jovanni Salinas of Orlando Florida for Murderous intent, & 30 year old Tyler Culver of Otego for Reckless Endangerment, Criminal possession of a weapon, Possession of a firearm with a previous conviction, & Loaded Firearm, all 3 are being held pending future court action.

Avelo Airlines announced plans Wednesday to provide air service to the Greater Binghamton Airport, starting November 16th. The new airline will offer non-stop flights to Orlando and Ft. An Interfaith Candlelight Vigil will be held tonight in Oneonta, in support of the Orlando Florida Shooting Victims. The vigil will begin at 7:00 PM in Muller Plaza on Main Street, the event is being hosted by the Unitarian Universalist Society of Oneonta, The 1st Methodist Church, the Oneonta NAACP & the city Of Oneonta Commission on Community Relations & Human Rights.

A Florida man was charged with attempted robbery, burglary and conspiracy in connection with a Dec. 23rd incident in Cooperstown.  Stephen Janiszeski of Ocoee, Fla., was arrested at the Orange County Jail in Orlando, Florida after an investigation by the Otsego County Sheriff's Office. Investigators determined  Janiszeski had accompanied Barry Renert on Dec. 23rd when Renert entered the Seventh Inning Stretch in Cooperstown, where he confronted the owner and displayed a handgun.  Janiszeski was arraigned in town of Otsego court and sent to the Otsego County Jail without bail. He faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted of the charges connected to the Cooperstown incident.
