The 75-foot tall, 11-ton Norway Spruce that will be the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, will be cut down From State Route 23 in West Oneonta this morning and will be hoisted by a huge crane onto a 115-foot long trailer at 8:00 AM The 2020 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is donated by Daddy Al’s General Store, The tree will be brought into Manhattan and erected at Rockefeller Center on Saturday.

The 2016 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree will be a Norway Spruce tree, that will be removed from the property of Angie & Greg Eichler at 72 Country Club Road in the town of Oneonta. The Tree will be cut down November 12th and will be taken to New York City November 12th, and will be lit up in Rockefeller Plaza November 30th, live on Network Television.

The company stated that they were unable to pay their bills as they waited for the State DEC to wrap up work on their gas drilling regulations, and begin drilling again after a 4-year wait. The company has 32 million dollars in debt, and listed no assets.
