A Lawsuit was filed in Broome County Supreme Court against the Vestal School District where a former Vestal High School student alleges that economics teacher Robert Carr asked her to meet him, he allegedly kissed the victim numerous times, groped her inappropriately and continued to force sexual activity upon her until she moved to the state of Texas and changed her phone number. The lawsuit claims that School Officials did not take any action against Carr after learning of the accusations.

On Tuesday, Broome County Sheriff’s Deputies assigned to the US Marshal’s Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 22 year old Nathan Williams Jr. of Endicott, at 68 Thorp Street in the City of Binghamton. Williams was wanted by the Endicott Police Department for Murder in connection with the shooting death of 25-year-old Molique Dawson in Endicott in July. The Metro SWAT Team of the Binghamton Police Department executed the search warrant and Williams was successfully taken into custody after a 5 hour standoff, Williams was transported to the Broome County Sheriff’s Correctional Facility, arraigned at Central Arraignment and is currently being held without bail.

State Police responded to a 2-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3:30 PM, on State Route 10 in the Town of Jefferson. Police reported that a vehicle operated by 47-year-old Debra Galasso of Summit, crossed into the opposing lane striking a vehicle head on, driven by 50-year-old Leonard Williams of Jefferson. Williams suffered severe head trauma in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. A rear seat passenger in the Galasso Vehicle, 24-year-old Schyler Shafer of Summit, complained of abdominal pain and was transported to Bassett Hospital for treatment. The investigation is continuing, no charges or tickets having been issued.
The Broome County Sheriff's Office is looking for the public’s help in finding Nathan Mower, who is wanted for violating his probation for 2nd degree burglary. Mower is white, with brown hair and brown eyes, about 5' 11" and weighs 205 pounds. Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies arrested of 4 Walton men on felony drug possession charges following a vehicle stop in Walton Tuesday afternoon. Deputies stopped a vehicle for traffic violations; they discovered and seized 82 bags of heroin, over $14,000 in cash, prescription narcotics, marihuana, a hypodermic instrument, drug paraphernalia & 4 State Public Benefit Cards. Charged were Nathan Williams, Adam Green, Patrick Ladd, and Eric Black, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell, Green was additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of Marihuana. Williams was additionally charged with Speeding, operating a Motor Vehicle with an Obstructed View and other violations. All 4 were arraigned and were remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $150,000 cash bail pending future court action.
