Broome County Sheriff's Office arrested 40 year old Mathew O'Neill of Windsor with Driving While Intoxicated following a motor vehicle accident involving a boat and a tow truck in the Town of Colesville. On January 5, Responding deputies found a Ford Expedition smashed under a boat, with the rear of the boat pressed directly against the structure of a residence. The investigation revealed that O'Neill's vehicle left the road way and struck the parked boat, which collided with a residence and a tow truck parked nearby. No injuries were reported.

The Otsego County Sheriff's Office is looking for Matthew Marcus Barnett of Oneonta as a missing vulnerable person. Barnett is a 30 year old white male with long brown hair, hazel eyes, he is 5'11" and 170 pounds and he walks with a cane, he suffers from schizophrenia & is in need of medication, anyone with information should call the Otsego County Sheriff's office of 1-800-346-3543.
Oxford Firefighters responded last Thursday Afternoon at 3634 County Road 32, the house was fully involved when fire fighters arrived, 1 occupants escaped with minor injuries and was taken to Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich. The Chenango County Office of Emergency Services' Fire Investigation Unit is investigating the cause of the fire. The Oxford Fire Department was assisted by the Norwich, Coventry, Guilford and Greene Fire Departments.

State Police arrested 31 year old Kerri Bunnelle of Little Falls for Vehicular Manslaughter, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle and Aggravated DWI, following the investigation into an August 4 accident last year old State Route 8 in New Berlin, that killed 43 year old Matthew Fredericks of Herkimer. Police stated that Bunnelle was the driver of a GMC Envoy that crossed over into a Ford Focus head-on driven by Fredericks, who did not survive the crash. Bunnelle’s blood alcohol content was .23% & she also did not possess a valid drivers license. Bunnelle was virtually arraigned in the town of Norwich court and released on her own recognizance. She will appear in the Chenango County Court at a later date.
Sidney Police Department responded Thursday to a disturbance at a business in the Village. 34 year old Michael Ide of Otego was wanted on active arrest warrant from the City of Oneonta, he allegedly had a small quantity of crack cocaine and methamphetamines, he was charged with 2 counts of Criminal possession of a controlled substance & Aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, he was released on appearance tickets and turned over to the City of Oneonta Police Department. That arrest led Sidney Police to request a State Police K9 unit to search a vehicle, where narcotics, drug paraphernalia, packaging material, a rifle and ammunition were discovered, 34 year old Brandon MacLaury of Guilford was charged with Criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, and Criminal possession of a weapon, he was virtually arraigned & was released & will appear in court at a later date.

Delaware County Sheriff Deputy’s arrested Matthew Bowden of Hancock for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle, after a stop in Hancock for traffic violations. Deputies observed a strong scent of marihuana emanating from the vehicle; a search of the vehicle uncovered a quantity of marihuana. Deputies also discovered that Bowden’s operating privileges in New York State had been suspended. Bowden was released with appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Hancock Court at a later date.
Bob Costas has been selected as the 2018 recipient of the Ford C. Frick Award, presented annually for excellence in broadcasting by the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 51 year old Matthew Dyer of Florida, for 20 counts of Reckless Endangerment, following an investigation by Sheriff’s Deputies and the management of Reithoffer Shows, that revealed that Dyer was operating a ride at the Delaware County Fairgrounds while intoxicated; endangering the passengers on the ride. Dyer was arraigned in the Village of Walton Court and was remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility on $20,000 cash bail pending further court action.
Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 30-year-old Patrick Ford of Delancey, on a Bench Warrant issued by the Town of Delhi Court as a result of Ford’s failure to appear to answer charges of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree and Petit Larceny. Ford was arraigned in the Town of Delhi Court & was remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility on $250 cash bail.

Maclaury will appear in the Town of Norwich Court at a later date.
Governor Cuomo today announced the opening of the $12.3 million “Binghamton Gateway,” which is a 37-unit affordable housing development located on Front Street, for low-income New Yorkers, six of which are designed to support people who have physical disabilities. The project rehabilitated 11 buildings and constructed a new mixed-use building with 2 commercial storefronts and 10 residential units on the site of the former Lincoln Hotel that was destroyed by fire.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Matthew Rose of Unadilla on a sealed indictment warrant issued by the Delaware County Court, at the time of his arrest, ROSE was in possession of a small amount of marijuana, ROSE was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, plus 2 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Narcotic, for allegedly selling prescription medications twice in the Village of Sidney. Rose was arraigned and was remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $40,000 cash bail or $80,000 secured bond.

the Broome County Sheriff’s Office responded to a truck vs. motorcycle accident on Sanitaria Springs Rd. in the Town of Colesville where a deputy responded and observed a motorcycle and its operator pinned underneath a Ford pick-up truck. The motorcycle operator was identified as Ralph Thorn of Johnson City, he was transported to Wilson Hospital. Investigators believe that the pick-up truck was operated by Matthew Briel of Kirkwood, he allegedly pulled out into the intersection after coming to a stop and did not see Thorn’s motorcycle, Thorn attempted to stop, lost control and went under Briel’s pick-up. Briel was ticketed for Failure to Yield the Right of Way at a Stop Sign.

State Police are continuing to investigate the fatal accident that occurred on May 20, at 6:30 AM on I-88 in the Town of Sidney. Police are asking anyone who saw the accident happen, or had seen the vehicle being driven before the accident, to call the 561-7400. The vehicle involved is a white 2002 Ford Escape with Virginia license plates on it. 25 year old Ericka Sa-Keema of Lorton, Virginia, died from her injuries at Wilson Memorial Hospital. An autopsy is pending.
Friday, State Police CNET members executed a search warrant at 221 Oak Hill Ave, in the Endicott, they Seized 40 expended "one-pot" methamphetamine labs, 3 ounces of methamphetamine oil, paraphernalia for smoking methamphetamine, and a pill bottle with suspected methamphetamine residue. Police arrested 29 year old Matthew Morrissey of Endicott for Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine; he was arraigned and was remanded to the Broome County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail / $2,000 property bond.

The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force executed a search warrant Tuesday; they arrested 5 people on a variety of drug & grand larceny charges.  Arrested were Joseph Fuzi, Pamela Sarday, Matthew Ford, Matthew Bowman and Megan Walsh, police seized crack-cocaine, digital scales, hypodermic needles and a dagger.  Bowman and Walsh were released on an appearance ticket for Binghamton Court, Fuzi and Sarday were arraigned & were remanded to the Broome County jail, Ford was arraigned in City of Binghamton Court and released, all face court action at a later date.
