State Police announced that the driver in a fatal accident on I-81 in the town of Triangle Tuesday evening was 64 year old Paul Fridley of Fenton, Missouri. Troopers were dispatched Tuesday at about 6:15 PM for the report of a vehicle on its side & on fire. State Police are asking anyone who may have witness the crash of the Kia Sedona with Missouri plates, to call them at 775-1241.

State Police are investigating a fatal 1-vehicle crash on I-81 in the town of Triangle Tuesday Night at about 6:15 PM. Troopers were dispatched to a report of a vehicle on its side and on fire with a fatality. Troopers are looking for any witnesses that may have seen the black Kia Sedona with Missouri license plates, the deceased has been identified as a 64 year old man from Missouri, the name will be released after family notification. Anyone with information is asked to call State Police at 775-1241.

Governor Cuomo announced today that 10 more states have been added to the list where individuals traveling from those states must quarantine for 14 days. The new states are Alaska, Delaware, Indiana, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, Virginia and Washington Meet Metrics to Qualify for Travel Advisory, the state of Minnesota has been dropped from the list. The 31 states are listed at coronavirus.health.ny.gov.

Governor Cuomo announced that the State Department of Health has issued a health advisory to hospitals, emergency departments and urgent care centers following severe and life-threatening bleeding cases in Illinois, Maryland, Wisconsin, Indiana and Missouri, due to the consumption of synthetic marijuana believed to be contaminated with rat poison. To date, no cases have been reported in New York State. Synthetic marijuana is sold with street names such as K2, Spice and AK-47, which consists of plant material coated by chemicals, which are supposed to mimic the effects of naturally grown marijuana.

Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a Davenport man Tuesday as a fugitive from justice from Missouri. Deputies arrested 25 year old Jerry Parkes of Davenport on the Warrant issued by Governor Cuomo, Parkes is charged with violating the terms of his probation and fleeing from Missouri to avoid prosecution. Parkes was arrested at the Delaware County Correctional Facility where he has been held without bail, since December, he was wanted in Missouri for violating the terms of his probation imposed upon a conviction for domestic assault. Parkes was arraigned; he will be turned over to Missouri law enforcement officers shortly.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 25 year old Jerry Parkes of Missouri on a Fugitive from Justice Complaint following an anonymous made to Otsego County 911. Parkes allegedly fled Missouri, where he was wanted for Domestic Assault & Felony manufacturing marijuana and synthetic marijuana. Parkes was arraigned and was remanded to the Delaware County Jail without bail pending extradition back to Missouri.

The Attorneys General of New York, Oregon, Minnesota, Missouri and Texas filed lawsuits against Orbital Publishing Group, Inc. and a ring of interrelated New York and Oregon companies for mailing millions of unauthorized and allegedly misleading magazine and newspaper subscription notices to consumers nationwide. The solicitations were sent without the permission of the publishers and stated that consumers were receiving “one of the lowest available rates,” when, in fact, they were being charged, in some cases, more than double the publication price. The companies then pocketed the difference. New yoork residents who were a victim of a magazine or newspaper subscription scam, can file a complaint with the Attorney General’s Office at 1-800-771-7755.

21-year-old James Duke was sentenced Friday afternoon in A Missouri Court room to life in prison without parole for the murder of Sidney native Kody Ray in 2010. Duke & Jordan Martin were charged in the case, Martin was accused of driving James Duke to Ray's house & was also charged with First Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action, he faces court action at a later date.
