A Female State Trooper has filed a lawsuit asking a federal court to declare that former Governor Andrew Cuomo, top aide Melissa DeRosa and state police violated her civil rights. The trooper’s name was not disclosed in the lawsuit, which was filed Thursday filed in New York City, the trooper seeks attorney fees, damages for “severe mental anguish and emotional distress,” and a declaratory judgment that Cuomo, DeRosa and state police violated civil laws on the federal, state and city level prohibiting sexual harassment.

Governor Kathy Hochul announced that she will fire individuals who allegedly contributed to a culture that allowed for sexual harassment under former Governor Andrew Cuomo who resigned this week after the the report by Attorney General Letitia James alleged that Cuomo sexually harassed 11 women. The State Health Department has released updated statistics in the last week that greatly increased the number of deaths of Nursing home residents to over 12,700, by including those who died from COVID while in a hospital. This Afternoon, DeRosa clarified her statements by stating that Governor's Office had asked State Lawmakers to wait for the administration’s response on Nursing Home deaths, so the administration could first resolve the Federal inquiry, she said that they were fully transparent with the Federal & then state inquiries in that order. The state now has over 130,000 cases of the Coronavirus, with over 16,800 in hospitals, about 4500 on ventilators in ICU beds, the death toll is 4,758, but over 13,000 have been successfully treated. Dr. Jim Malatras has been tracking various models for planning purpose, & the number suggest that New York may be at the beginning of the apex:
