State DEC announced several changes to deer hunting regulations to increase harvest of female deer and improve DEC’s ability to manage abundant deer populations. Under the new system, all hunters will receive a first Antlered Deer Tag which can be used during any season, except the September antlerless season. State Police arrested 26 year old Ryan Gregory of Coram, Wednesday following a neighbor dispute that resulted in a man shot on Houghtaling Hollow Road in the Town of Meredith, Gregory allegedly shot the victim and 2 unoccupied vehicles. A 57-year-old male from Meredith sustained non-life threatening injuries and went to A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta, he was later transported to Albany Medical Center for further treatment. Troopers located Gregory at his local residence where he was in possession of firearms and refused commands to surrender, after several hours, Gregory surrendered and was charged with Attempted Murder, Criminal Use of a Firearm & Additional charges are likely. Gregory was processed then transported to the Delaware County Jail for Arraignment.

A Troy New York man wanted as a suspect in a shooting investigation was apprehended by the Broome County Sheriff’s Strategic Response Group and taken into custody within 5 minutes of his vehicle triggering a license plate reader in the City of Binghamton. On Wednesday, local law enforcement received an Attempt to Locate bulletin from the Watervliet Police Department regarding a possibly armed male suspect and vehicle wanted in relation to a shooting investigation in Watervliet. The vehicle was located in Binghamton, a traffic stop was conducted at a fast food drive through lane the unidentified suspect was taken into custody, members of the Watervliet Police took custody of the suspect and he was returned to answer for his charges.
Attorney General Letitia James today announced that 74 year old Miles Marshall of Hamilton was sentenced to 4 to 12 years in prison for operating a Ponzi scheme that fraudulently stole more than $50 million from 988 investors in Madison County and other nearby counties. Marshall convinced unsuspecting clients to invest millions of dollars into his so-called "Eight Percent Fund," claiming that their funds would be primarily used for real estate investments, Instead, Marshall used the funds to pay investment returns to prior investors, cover the expenses of his other businesses, and to fund shopping trips, vacations, and restaurant visits. Marshall's scheme lasted three decades, and in April, he pleaded guilty as a result of investigation.

The Madison County District Attorney, State Police, University Police at SUNY Morrisville and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office announced that an arrest has been made in connection with a shooting on the SUNY Morrisville campus that left a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the neck back on November 3rd of 2025. The victim was not a student, and was taken to Upstate Medical Hospital for emergency surgery. A Madison County grand jury indicted 19 year old Kido Simon on 6 counts, including attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal use of a firearm. Simon was a student at SUNY Morrisville at the time of the shooting, he is being held at Madison County Jail on bail set at $1,000,000 cash, $1,500,000 bond and $2,000,000 partially unsecured bond. Simon’s next court appearance is scheduled for June 3 at the Madison County Courthouse. 1 other person is wanted in connection with this case who remains at large.
Governor Kathy Hochul announced the launch of the 2026 Regional Economic Development Council Initiative, eligible REDCs will compete for funding through the $150 million ACHIEVE competition to support high-impact regional projects to advance regional goals. Delaware County has continued to transition operations of the senior meals program after Delaware Opportunities abruptly ceased operating on May 7th. Delaware County Office for the Aging has supported Senior meals both at congregate meal sites and through home meal deliveries. Congregate meal sites are now fully staffed and operational in Delhi, Hancock, Walton & Grand Gorge, the Margaretville senior meals dining center is open and located back in the Margaretville Methodist Church. The Sidney senior dining center has been temporarily relocated to the Sidney Community Cultural Center at 1 Bridge Street in Sidney, today that site will be operational to serve meals on site and prepare meals for home delivery. The County continues to work with the owners of the Sidney Senior Housing site to permanently relocate senior meals back to the senior nutrition site at 21 Liberty Street Sidney. Those interested in county employment, contact the Delaware County personnel office to inquire about these positions.
Delaware County Public Health recommends that pet owners take advantage of any of the free rabies clinics for dogs, cats and ferrets in Delaware County. State Police responded Saturday Night to a 1 vehicle crash on County Highway 1 and Little Dingle Hill Road in the town of Andes. An investigation at the scene determined that 27 year old Ethan Ray Kennedy of Delhi lost control of his vehicle & went off the roadway and struck an embankment causing the vehicle to roll and land on its roof. Kennedy did not survive.

A raccoon tested positive for rabies in the town of Davenport, it's the 2nd confirmed positive case of rabies in Delaware County this year. 1 dog & 3 people were exposed to the rabid raccoon, the raccoon was sent for testing to the State Department of Health Wadsworth Laboratory. The exposed dog received a booster, the 3 people exposed have begun Rabies Post-Exposure Prophylaxis. Otsego County Sheriff's Office arrested 22 year old Jordan Kratochvil of Laurens, for Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Imprisonment, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Assault & menacing following an investigation into a physical domestic dispute with a firearm in Laurens. Deputies determined that Kratochvil struck the female victim multiple times in the head with an 8 month old child present, he unlawfully locked the victims inside their residence, and threatened to use a loaded semi-automatic rifle against them and others, he surrendered himself to Deputies and he was processed and turned over to Otsego County Corrections pending Arraignment

The Juveniles were ages 14 & 15 years old and they were charged with Attempted Murder and were being held in a Syracuse detention center, a 13 year is also expected to be charged in connection with the case, Binghamton Police are investigating the case as "social media trend" where groups target homeless or drug-addicted individuals for violent assaults. 45 year old Peter Bennedum died from his injuries at an area hospital Friday, a go fund me page has been set up for his family members, a vigil will be held Tuesday, at 3:00 pm at the intersection of Carroll and Henry Streets in Binghamton, where police found Bennedum beaten & unconscious on the sidewalk last Monday night. The Broome County DA's Office reported that additional charges will be filed against the juveniles following Bennedum's death.

74 year old Miles Marshall faces up 4 to 12 years in prison for stealing more than $50 million from hundreds of people in upstate New York as part of a massive Ponzi scheme. Marshall pleaded guilty last week, to grand larceny, securities fraud and scheme to defraud, Marshall prepared taxes and sold insurance in Hamilton, he is scheduled to be sentenced in Madison County Court on June 11.

On November 21st, Deputies located and arrested Roman on new charges after it was alleged that he had taken the victim’s credit card and made numerous purchases on the card which amounted to over $1,500 without authorization. Roman was transported to the Delaware County Correctional Facility for arraignment.

Green was sentenced to a 19 year prison term, concurrent 3 and 5-year terms of post-release supervision, and a money judgment of over $185,000 of unrecovered proceeds from his drug trafficking. Co-conspirator Michael Jacobs of Endicott, was previously sentenced to 10 years and 10 months term of imprisonment & 5 years of post-release supervision.

21 year old Joziah Worthington was sentenced following his convictions after trial in Broome County Court, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd & 3rd Degree, to 9 years in a State Correctional Facility with 5 years of post-release supervision for 1 charge, and 7 years in prison with 3 years of post-release supervision for other charge, to run concurrently. Worthington was arrested by state Police in 2024 in Johnson City, for illegally possessing a firearm as well as a large capacity ammunition feeding device capable of accepting 31 rounds, loaded with 25 rounds, Worthington’s DNA being found on the firearm.
NBT Bank presented the United Way of Mid Rural New York with a check for $190,000 to help fund programs that provide financial stability, education and health resources for individuals and families in Chenango, Delaware, Madison and Otsego counties. NBT Bank employees donated $95,000 to the United Way’s annual campaign through personal contributions, and the company matched that amount with an additional $95,000.

The State DEC announced a drought warning was issued in 12 counties in the Adirondack and Southern Tier regions and a drought watch was expanded to include 6 counties in the Susquehanna region. The counties added to the drought watch today are Broome, Chenango, Cortland, Otsego, Madison, and Tioga. A drought watch or warning is now in effect for the entire state except for New York City and Westchester County. more information is available at dec.ny.gov.

Delaware County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of 43 year old Dylan Bassani of East Meredith for 2 counts of Menacing following an investigation into a complaint filed by two NYSEG Utility workers. On September 17th, NYSEG Utility workers were attempting to make electrical repairs on Turnpike Road in the Town of Meredith, they reported that they were confronted by Bassani, who is accused of displaying a shotgun in attempt to intimidate the workers. On September 19th, Deputies applied for and were granted an Extreme Risk Protection Order through Delaware County Supreme Court, the next day, Bassani was located and arrested and the firearm was recovered. Bassani was processed & was released on an appearance ticket for the Town of Meredith Court at a later date.
Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 39 year old Ashley O'Malley of Bovina, following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident on September 18th, in Bovina Center. Deputies found that the vehicle had gone off the side of the road and came to rest overturned on a resident’s property. O'Malley appeared to be in an intoxicated state, she was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, with a BAC of 0.18% or more, Moving from Lane Unsafely and Speed not Reasonable and Prudent, O'Malley was released on appearance tickets to the Bovina Town Court at a later date.

The plans were to start the project Tuesday & complete it today, DPW officials said that the road will be open by the end of each work day.

State Police and Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 2800 block of State Highway 268 in the town of Hancock for a report of a shooting Wednesday Morning. A 32-year-old man was shot in the upper arm and airlifted to Albany Medical Center, with a non-life-threatening injury. 60 year old Robert Trago Jr., of Hancock, was charged with Attempted Murder and Criminal Possession of a Weapon, he was located just before 3:00 pm., in the Margaretville area and taken into custody. Trago Jr. was taken to Delhi where he was arraigned & was remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility on $100,000 cash, $200,000 credit, $400,000 bond.
The Delaware County Planning Board announced that they plan to develop a Strategic Comprehensive Plan, to guide future growth, development, and preservation in the County. Fisher Associates will lead the planning process and public engagement efforts. Public Input Sessions will be on Monday, September 16, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Hobart Community Center & Tuesday, September 17 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Walton Fire Hall, on West Street. The input gathered from the public survey and during these initial input sessions will be reviewed by Delaware County Planning and Fisher Associates, followed by additional opportunities for public review and comment.

Baker was convicted of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to sell, after having admitted to possessing methamphetamine in the Village of Sidney on September 11, 2023. Baker was also ordered to provide a sample of his DNA for inclusion in the State DNA data bank and to pay fines and surcharges, he was remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility to begin serving his sentence.

Otsego County Sheriff's Office arrested 26 year old Joshua Hunt of Unadilla for failure to notify a Change of Address, as stipulated by the New York State Sex Offender Registry. Hunt is accused of relocating from his residence in the Town of Unadilla and did not make the proper notifications to the Sex Offender Registry, an arrest warrant was applied for and issued by the Town of Middlefield Court, Hunt was located by the Sidney Police Department and turned over to deputies on the warrant. Hunt was remanded to the Otsego County Correctional Facility on $1,000 cash bail, or $10,000 bond.

Broome County Sheriff’s Deputies and Corrections Officers are now equipped with a new FDA-approved opioid antagonist will be carried in addition to Narcan by select members of the Broome County Sheriff’s Road Patrol and the Corrections divisions as part of a pilot program. The new “Fentanyl Fighter,” drug is a nasal spray designed to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose and quickly help restore blood pressure, breathing and consciousness to those experiencing a potentially fatal overdose.

Broome County Sheriff Fred Akshar announced a further expansion of visitation hours at the Broome County Sheriff’s Correctional Facility effective immediately. Sheriff Akshar expanded visiting hours to 30 hours per week earlier this year, the latest increase brings the visitation time to 47 hours each week. The visitation expansion coincides with increased staffing levels at the Broome County Sheriff’s Correctional Facility after a successful hiring campaign for new and transferring Corrections Officers. Delaware County Sheriff's arrested 75 year old Alan Donner of Roscoe for Criminal Mischief. On August 26th, Deputies responded to a Criminal Mischief Complaint in the Town of Colchester, Donner had intentionally damaged another person’s vehicle following a verbal altercation while at the Mobil Gas Station in Downsville, Donner was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Colchester Court at a later date to answer the charges.

State Police arrested 44 year old Reghan Parker of the town of Union for Possession of a Forged Instrument and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. Troopers observed a vehicle making vehicle and traffic violations, with an unlicensed driver operating the vehicle. Troopers said that the owner was Reghan Parker, who was in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Troopers also found that Parker’s vehicle had a homemade piece of paper on the front windshield attempting to represent a New York State Inspection sticker. Parker was issued appearance tickets to Broome County Centralized Arraignment and Processing.
Chenango County Sheriff's office arrested 30 year old James MacDuff of New Berlin today for 2 counts of Aggravated cruelty to animals, 2 counts of Failure to provide proper food and drink to an impounded animal, and 2 counts of Overdriving, torturing and injuring animals, failure to provide proper sustenance in the Town of Norwich. MacDuff was charged after he allegedly left 2 dogs locked in cages with no food or water in an uninhabited residence for over a month, both of the dogs died as a result. Neighbors alerted law enforcement after they noticed a foul smell coming from the residence. When law enforcement arrived, they found two decaying corpses that were still locked inside of their cages. Subject was arrested and released on an appearance ticket. He is set to appear in the Town of Norwich court on a later date.
The Broome County Sheriff's Office arrested 55 year old Daniel Erickson of Greene, who was the Principal of Johnson City Middle School, & who has been charged with luring a child and 3rd degree attempted rape. On Friday, Detectives arrested Erickson following an investigation into suspicious behavior involving a minor that attends Johnson City High School. Erickson is accused of communicating by Snapchat with a 16-year-old female student, he agreed to meet with her in a remote location with the intentions of engaging in sexual acts, however, detectives were at there and he was taken into custody without incident. Erickson was taken to Central Arraignment, he was remanded to the Correctional Facility without bail. The investigation is currently ongoing.
Delaware County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division assisted the State Office of Cannabis Management Enforcement Division at an inspection of a local business known as HEMPIRE on State Highway 30 Roxbury. Since June 7th, the New York State Office of Cannabis Management and the State Department of Taxation and Finance have conducted inspections of unlicensed cannabis retail businesses, At the HEMPIRE location, the proprietor did not have the necessary license required to legally sell hemp or cannabis, they seized about $40,000 worth of illicit products. Hempire was issued a Notice of Violation and Cease Order, Businesses found in violation are required to appear at administrative hearings where fines and penalties will be determined.

The Broome County District Attorney's Office announced that 38 year old Jeremiah Raub of New Milford Pennsylvania was released on $150,000 bail. Raub was charged with murder and arson in connection with a fatal house fire on Milford Street in Binghamton in 2011 that killed 17 year old Jeffrey Aissa, he was arrested by Binghamton Police last Month. Raub was placed on a pre-release program and will be monitored by Broome County Probation through a GPS ankle monitor, His next court date is scheduled for May 15th, the investigation into the fire remains active.
Broome County Sheriff’s Correctional Facility announced that 26 year old Tymel Platt of Binghamton is facing 6 felony charges for smuggling Cocaine and Fentanyl within the facility. The Corrections Criminal Investigations Unit acted on information that Platt was in possession of contraband, his body was scanned which revealed an item hidden on his person, they recovered 2 smaller packages, with Cocaine & 4.1 grams of Fentanyl, which is capable of killing 205 people. Platt was charged with 4 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance & 2 Counts of Promoting Prison Contraband, Platt was incarcerated on assault charges, he will be arraigned at a later date in the Town of Dickinson Court.

The Tioga County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence on Day Hollow Road in the Town of Owego after receiving a call requesting to check the welfare of 78 year-old Phyllis Kvassay, Deputies located her deceased, they also encountered her son, 33 year-old son James Kvassay inside of the residence, he was arrested for 2nd degree murder for allegedly causing the death of his mother. James Kvassay was arraigned and was remanded to the Tioga County Jail without bail. The investigation is still ongoing at this time.

On Monday Deputies observed a vehicle traveling on State Highway 30 in the Town of Colchester with an expired inspection. Upon conducting a traffic stop, A check of Kinch’s driver’s license revealed that his driving privileges were suspended in the State of New York. State Police responded to the report of “shots fired” in the town of Andes, the investigation revealed that a 62-year-old female was injured when she accidentally discharged a semi-automatic rifle, suffering face and hand injuries. The responding trooper applied a tourniquet to subside the heavy bleeding to the victim’s hand, another officer from the Colchester Police Department applied a 2nd tourniquet until EMS arrived and the victim was transported to Bassett Hospital for treatment. Troopers reported that the rifle is not legal in New York State and was not New York Safe Act compliant, 58 year old Richard Geraghty of Andes, was charged with 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the third degree.

Chenango County Sheriff's Office arrested 50 year old Andrew Frank Jr and 49 year old Rena Jones of Sherburne following a lengthy investigation & the execution of a search warrant. Frank and Jones were arrested on numerous counts of 3rd Degree Burglary and Criminal Mischief, for allegedly breaking into local businesses and stealing money and damaging property. Frank was arraigned and was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility with no bail. Jones was released on an appearance ticket for Village of Sherburne Court on a later date. The investigation is still on going and more charges are pending.

Lynch forcibly stole cash from a cab driver in Binghamton in January 28, The driver reported the robbery to Binghamton Police, who located Lynch & arrested him.

Delaware County Public Health Services has confirmed its first monkeypox case in Delaware County. The person had traveled outside of Delaware County and contact tracing efforts are underway. Monkeypox spreads through close, physical contact between people. The Delaware County Public Health Services advises those who experience symptoms, such as rashes or lesions, to contact their healthcare provider, this includes anyone who has traveled to countries and areas where monkeypox cases have been reported, for more information, go to health.ny.gov/diseases.

The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down in Ulster County on Wednesday, July 13, shortly before 9:00PM. Investigators determined that the EF-1 tornado with 90 mile per hour winds touched down 2 miles west of Kingston, near State Route 29, it then moved southeast to just west of the NY State Thruway where it uprooted and snapped trees, displaced a car canopy. Many homes were damaged by fallen trees, thousands lost power from the storm.

Sidney Police responded to a trespassing complaint on March 17th at a vacant home on Ritton Street in the Village. During the investigation it was learned that a male involved in the case had an active arrest warrant issued by Delaware County Family Court. 41 year old James Nash was arrested on a Delaware County Family Court warrant & was then turned over to the Delaware County Sheriff's Office.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office is investigating an accident that killed an Otsego County man Sunday morning. The crash happened around 4:45 a.m. Sunday in the town of Brookfield, deputies found a Jeep Cherokee off the road and overturned partially in a creek. 36-year-old Travis Chesebro of West Edmeston was pronounced dead at the scene, the investigation is ongoing.

State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli announced the results of an audit of the Delaware-Chenango-Madison-Otsego BOCES Procurement practices. The audit found that the purchasing agent made 22 purchases with 7 purchases totaling $49,300, where competition was not sought, as required. Staff could not provide documentation to support efforts were made to obtain the best price.

State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli announced the results of an audit of the Otsego County Industrial Development Agency regarding the Oneonta Rail Yards Acquisition. The audit stated that the agency did not adequately plan for the 2017 acquisition of the rail yards, which was acquired based on a $6 million to $20 million development plan, but without an interested developer. Auditors found no indication that the board of directors had significant discussions of the pros and cons of developing the property, they then learned that a large-scale timber operation would be the only type of local industry that could profitable at the Rail Yards property.
The Friends of Recovery of Delaware and Otsego Counties will be expanding into Chenango County with a new site being prepared in the City of Norwich. The City of Oneonta Police Department has arrested 29 year old Elijah Vergari of Oneonta in connection with the NBT bank robbery that occurred at 1 Wall Street in the City of Oneonta on December 29th. An indictment was handed down by a Grand Jury for the arrest of Vergari, Vergari was delivered to the Otsego County Court Monday, he was arraigned for 3rd degree Robbery, Due to the existence of pending felony charges in Delaware County, bail was set for $10,000 cash bail and he was remanded to the custody of the Otsego County Sheriff. The Oneonta Police Department worked in conjunction with the New York State Police Forensic ID unit, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations, and NBT bank security services.
An Oneonta man died in a two-car crash on Route 365 in Westmoreland late Sunday night. The Oneida County Sheriff's Office stated that 20-year-old Joshua Parker of Utica, was driving westbound on Route 365 when he started to have car trouble and put his flashers on while trying to make it to a gas station, Parker's vehicle was hit from behind by 40-year-old Lance Johnson of Oneonta, who was transporting medical test samples to a lab. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. Parker was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center to be treated for injuries that are not considered to be life-threatening. The investigation is ongoing.

State Police responded the report of 2 adults and 2 children being thrown from an Amish buggy after being hit by a car in Madison County on Friday. State Police stated that 19-year-old Madison Mae Davis of South Otselic was driving on Lebanon Road around 6:00 PM when she hit a horse-drawn buggy traveling in the same direction. A 22-year-old man, a 27-year-old woman and two kids, ages 1 and 2, were ejected from the buggy upon impact. All four were taken to Upstate University Hospital to be evaluated. Davis was taken to Community Memorial Hospital and was later released, Davis received a ticket for failure to use due care for an animal.

State Police arrested 36 year old Amber Suprunchik of Dolgeville for Tampering with Physical Evidence, Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Accident and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle. Back on June 15th, troopers were dispatched to a hit and run accident on State Route 26 in Cincinnatus, 4 people on bicycles were on State Route 26 when a vehicle struck 2 of them, and did not stop. 67 year old Kitt Warren of DeRuyter was killed and 67 year old John Rutan of McGraw suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The vehicle was ultimately located that night by a Cortland County Sheriff’s Deputy. The investigation has revealed that Suprunchik was operating the vehicle and was not impaired at the time of the accident, she is accused of tampering with the vehicle after the collision, she was processed Friday & was sent to Cortland County Central Arraignment and Processing.
Delaware County Public Health reported 36 new COVID cases on Thursday & Friday, bringing their number of active cases to 170, hospitalized cases up to 7 & 290 quarantined. 51% of the total Delaware County population are vaccinated, 65% of the positive cases are unvaccinated, and 16% of the positive cases are Pre-K-12th students or school district employees.
Otsego County reported a new death caused by the coronavirus on Friday, their total deaths from the virus in Otsego County to 70, including 51 in 2021. Chenango County Sheriff's Office executed a "no knock" search warrant in the Town of German Monday, following a lengthy narcotics trafficking investigation involving 36 year old Jonas Whaley of the Town of German. At approximately 5:30 am Monday, members of the Broome-Chenango-Endicott SWAT team entered Whaley's residence on Chenango County Road 2, they located Whaley within a bedroom, where he is accused of attempting to flush methamphetamine down the toilet, about 4 ounces of methamphetamine was recovered, officers also seized 13 long guns, 2 assault rifles, pistols & "ghost guns", with hundreds of rounds of ammunition & over $3600 in cash. Whaley was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Tampering with Physical Evidence & Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia, whaley is being held pending court action. Members of the Broome County Sheriff's Office, State Police, Madison County Sheriff's Office, and Endicott Police Department assisted.
Former long time area Congressman Sherwood Boehlert has died at the age of 84. Boehlert Served as Oneida County Executive prior to his lengthy tenure in the US House of Representatives from 1982 to 2006. Boehlert served as Chairman of the House Science committee, he served on that Committee during the investigation into the 9/11 terrorist attacks and he also traveled twice to the South Pole to get a first-hand look at United States research operations.
State Police at Sidney arrested 24 year old Gary Rousseau Jr of Carbondale, Pennsylvania Sunday for Driving While Intoxicated. A trooper was dispatched to a report of a 1-vehicle rollover on I-88 west in the town of Bainbridge, The trooper located a vehicle on its roof and learned that the driver had been removed from the vehicle, & Rousseau was being treated by Sidney EMS. Police said that Rousseau was impaired; he was transported to Wilson Hospital for treatment & was issued appearance tickets to the Bainbridge Town Court on October 12th.

Delaware County Sheriff's deputies received a 911 call from a motorist on State Highway 28 reporting being passed in a no passing zone in the Town of Delhi by an erratic driver. Deputies located 43 year old Elmar Kola of Staten Island, a Department of Motor Vehicle inquiry revealed that Kola’s driving privileges were suspended in New York. Kola was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and improper passing, he was issued traffic summonses for Town of Delhi Court on a later date.
The Delaware County Chamber has partnered with DCMO BOCES for a business start-up program starting October 5th with Classes on Tuesdays and Thursday from 6 - 8 pm., to help fledgling entrepreneurs get the knowledge they need to go forward, according to Delaware County Chamber President Ray Pucci:

State Police have arrested 7 people linked to a crime spree across 4 local counties. In July, State Police arrested Christopher Youngs of the town of Maryland & John Clark of Morris in connection with multiple burglaries in Otsego, Delaware, Chenango and Madison counties. State Police Investigators have lodged additional charges against Youngs and Clark, & they have also arrested 32 year old Joseph Santiago of Burlington Flats, 32 year old Charles Hall of Edmeston, 23 year old Kayla Van Pelt of Edmeston, 59 year old Henry Schmidt of Garratsville, 56 year old Samuel Madero of Morris, All 7 have been linked to over 40 cases between the State Police, local Sheriff’s departments and local police departments. More charges are likely as investigators continue to work through the open cases.

Otsego County businesses and residents affected by severe storms and flooding on July 16 to the 19th may apply for low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration; the declaration includes Otsego County and the adjacent counties of Chenango, Delaware, Herkimer, Madison, Oneida, Montgomery and Schoharie Counties. The SBA will open a Disaster Loan Outreach Center on Tuesday, at 12:00 noon at the Morris Fire Department at 117 East Main Street in Morris, until 6:00 PM.
