Tickets went on sale for the new season at the Chenango River Theatre in Greene, Artistic Director Zach Curtis told WCDO News about the upcoming season:

Curtis said that "Lend Me A Tenor" will start June 2nd, followed by "Shout The Musical" July 14th, "Wait Until Dark", August 2nd & "The Mountaintop" on October 6th, tickets are available at chenangorivertheatre.org, also the "1 Night Stand" series shows will be announced later this month.

State Police responded Friday to a fatal motor vehicle crash a the intersection of State Route 51 and Flatiron Road in the Town of Butternuts. The investigation determined that a vehicle was traveling north on State Route 8 in the Town of Guilford when a Chenango County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted a traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle failed to comply, continuing into the Otsego County Town of Butternuts, where the driver left the roadway and crashed into several trees. The driver of the vehicle was 17 year old Christian Enrico and a passenger, 16 year old Liam Pakonis both of Wayne, New Jersey were pronounced deceased at the scene. The Office of the New York State Attorney General responded to the scene and is handling the investigation.
