The Otsego County Sheriff's Office arrested several people on a variety of charges following a Burglary in progress report at a residence in the town of Pittsfield Sunday. Arrested were 24 year old Autumn Knapp of Morris, 50 year old Richard Suarez of Morris, 49 year old Travis Wilson of Pittsfield, and 41 year old Danielle Bemis of Pittsfield. It was reported that 4 subjects were inside of a house actively removing property, A Sheriff’s Office sergeant arrived on scene and located the defendants, additional deputies arrived on scene, the defendants were transported to the Otsego County Correctional Facility to await Centralized Arraignment. Travis Wilson and Danielle Bemis were remanded on $5,000 cash or $10,000 surety bond, Autumn Knapp was remanded on $15,000 cash or $30,000 surety bond, and Richard Suarez was remanded without bail. The investigation is on-going and additional charges are pending.

The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42 year old Justin Ingalls of Hartwick following a warrant investigation. Ingalls was located by Deputies attempting to enter the Otsego County Jail for the purpose of retrieving bail money, he was taken into custody on 6 active bench warrants issued by various courts within Otsego County, he was ordered to be held at the jail on $17,000 dollars cash bail.

State Police responded to an incident involving a motorcycle and a riding lawnmower at Hawleyton Road, in the town of Binghamton. 74 year old Danny Shepard of Binghamton was operating a riding lawnmower in the area of the roadway and front yard of his residence, 28 year old Justin Tarbox of Binghamton, was operating a motorcycle on Hawleyton Road, they collided & Shepard was pronounced dead at the scene. Tarbox was transported to Wilson Hospital, The incident remains under investigation.

State Police have identified the Trooper who fired his issued firearm Last Wednesday in Unadilla as Trooper Justin Miller, who has been a trooper since 2016. Beilby did not comply with Trooper Miller’s repeated commands to drop the knife and advanced at the trooper, Trooper Miller discharged his firearm, striking Beilby, and then administered first aid, Beilby was first takn to AO Fox Hospital’s Tri-Town Campus in Sidney & then to Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, where he was pronounced deceased. The State Attorney General’s Office is investigating the incident.

The Chenango County Sheriff's Office arrested 2 parolees on drug charges, following a narcotics investigation at the Norwich Motor Lodge. Officers seized methamphetamines, heroin, and illegally possessed prescription medication. 24 year old Cheyenne Davenport was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia, she was wanted on a parole warrant & she was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility without bail. 30 year old Zackery England was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance & Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia, he was also wanted on an active warrant and he was remanded to the Chenango County correctional Facility without bail.

Chordas was entering State Route 79 in the town of Barker, from a driveway when he collided with a Pick-up truck, Chordas was found unconscious & was extricated from the vehicle & was taken to Wilson Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The unidentified driver of the truck suffered minor injuries & was taken to Wilson, the investigation into the crash is ongoing.

suboxone, marijuana, $2,000 in cash, drug paraphernalia, and Wilson and VanBuren were arraigned in
the Town of Worcester Court and sent to the Otsego County Jail on $25,000 cash
or $50,000 bond pending court action on September 3rd.

Former Cooperstown teacher Justin Hobbie pleaded guilty to 3
counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
Hobbie was accused of persuading girls under the age of 16 of sending
him explicit videos. Hobbie will be
sentenced in December he will likely serve jail time & will be required to
register as a sex offender.

State Police arrested 34 year old Justin Wilson of Colesville for Criminal Mischief, Menacing and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Wilson got in to a verbal argument with a victim, damaged a television and entertainment center and damaged a vehicle, in the presence of a 2 and 3 year-old. Wilson was arraigned at Broome County Central Arraignment and Processing and released on his own recognizance. An order of protection was issued to the victim.

The Broome County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that 7-year-old Connor Brown of Conklin has died. After he & his 8-year-old brother were playing outside and walked onto the ice. Connor fell through the ice, his mother & brother tried to rescue him & also fell through the ice. Neighbors pulled the mother and brother to safety, but Connor had been swept under the ice by the current. The boy’s body was located just north of where he fell into the river by a Conklin fireman, he was transported to Wilson Hospital, but efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. Broome County Sheriff’s Deputies are still investigating.
A Federal grand Jury handed up a 7-count indictment Friday against 28-year-old Justin Crandall & his wife, 27 year old Jessica Crandall of Sidney. The 2 are accused of numerous sexual exploitation charges against a 17-month-old female between November 2016 & February of this year. Police were alerted to the alleged crimes after a witness received an image from Justin Crandall depicting the toddler engaged in a sexual act; Jessica Crandall had been babysitting that child. Justin Crandall admitted to touching the child while on Methamphetamines, Jessica Crandall admitted that the abuse started in late last year. The couple could face up to 30 years in prison.

State Troopers arrested 26-year-old Justin Mullen of Harpursville, for Driving While Intoxicated, following a Motor Vehicle accident at North Road and Dodd Road in Thursday in Windsor. Troopers accuse Mullen of driving off the road & striking a concrete culvert, he was trapped in the vehicle and was removed by members of the West Windsor, Windsor and 5 Mile Point Fire Departments utilizing the Jaws of Life. Mullen was airlifted to Wilson Regional Trauma Center in Johnson City, for multiple internal and external injuries. Mullen was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Windsor Court at a later date.
