Justin Crandall was sentenced Wednesday in a Binghamton federal courtroom to 50 years in prison with post-release supervision for life, after he pleaded guilty to sexually exploited a 17-month-old child between December 2016 and February 2017 in Sidney. His wife Jessica Crandall was sentenced Wednesday to 25 years in prison with post-release supervision for life. Both pleaded guilty in October 2017.

A federal Judge is expected to sentence 30 year old Justin Crandall and his wife Jessica of Sidney today in Binghamton's federal court for their guilty pleas for the sexual abuse of a 17-month-old girl in their Sidney home. The couple could each face up to 90 years in prison at sentencing today.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office’s arrested 2 County Jail inmates on prison contraband and drug charges, they have obtained an arrest warrant for a 3rd inmate that is in jail at the Elmira Correctional Facility. Correction officers seized Suboxone during a jail search, which was alleged smuggled into the jail by 33 year old Chad Ostrander of Grand Gorge, it was later distributed to inmate Randy Condon Jr. of Sidney & Justin Crandall of Sidney. Ostrander and Crandall have been charged with Promoting Prison Contraband, Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance & Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, they were arraigned, Ostrander & Crandall were sent back to the Delaware County Jail, Condon was returned to the custody of the State Department of Corrections and will be arraigned on a later date.

28-year-old Justin Crandall of Sidney confessed to 3 counts of sexual exploitation on a plea bargain arrangement in Federal Court Friday, his wife, 27-year-old Jessica Crandall pleaded guilty to Conspiracy to Sexually Exploit a Child. The couple were arrested by the FBI and State Police after they executed search warrants at their Sidney residence and found the explicit videos on cell phones. Jessica Crandall still faces other charges & additional court action. Justin Crandall will face sentencing on February 23rd.

Delaware County Sheriff's Office Investigators arrested 30-year-old Scott Hanrahan of Deposit, 29-year-old Justin Crandall of Sidney, and 27-year-old John Bolster of Hancock, for promoting contraband within the Delaware County Correctional Facility. All 3 are incarcerated at the County Jail on unrelated charges, they are accused of possessing prescription medication prescribed to another inmate, they were charged with 1 count each of Promoting Prison Contraband, they face arraignment on the new charges in the Town of Delhi Court at a later time.

A Federal grand Jury handed up a 7-count indictment Friday against 28-year-old Justin Crandall & his wife, 27 year old Jessica Crandall of Sidney. The 2 are accused of numerous sexual exploitation charges against a 17-month-old female between November 2016 & February of this year. Police were alerted to the alleged crimes after a witness received an image from Justin Crandall depicting the toddler engaged in a sexual act; Jessica Crandall had been babysitting that child. Justin Crandall admitted to touching the child while on Methamphetamines, Jessica Crandall admitted that the abuse started in late last year. The couple could face up to 30 years in prison.

State Police received a reported Child Pornography complaint, The investigation led to the Village of Sidney, 28 year old Justin Crandall of Sidney is accused of sending sexually explicit photographs of a young child to another person, he was charged with 1st degree Rape, Promoting Sexual Performance by a Child less than seventeen years old, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. State Police also arrested 27 year old Jessica Crandall of Sidney, for Criminal Sex Act and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, for the alleged sexual abused of a child less than 11 years old. Justin & Jessica Crandall were arraigned in the Village of Sidney Court and were remanded to the Delaware County Jail. The Village of Sidney Police Department assisted throughout the investigation.

Binghamton Police arrested 31-year-old Lamont Weaver of Binghamton for attempted murder. Weaver is accused of stabbing the victim in the stomach multiple times and once in the head on Saturday at 8 Crandall Street, the victim is in critical condition at an area hospital, weaver is being held pending court action.
State Police responded to a motorcycle accident on State Route 17C, in the Town of Owego. An investigation determined that 35-year-old Justin King of Owego was driving his motorcycle with his wife 34-year-old Tonya King as a rear passenger; he was unable to avoid a deer in the roadway and crashed after striking it. Both were transported to Packer Hospital in Sayre, Tonya King was pronounced dead due to head trauma. Justin King was treated for multiple minor injuries; Troopers reported that both were wearing helmets. The investigation is ongoing.
