A new Sienna College Poll shows that 2/3 of New Yorkers and more than 50% of Democrats think that former Governor Andrew Cuomo shouldn’t run for Governor again this year. If Cuomo enters the race against Kathy Hochul, he trails her 38-30%, Hochul was Cuomo’s lieutenant governor before he resigned in August. Hochul still has a commanding lead in the upcoming primary, over announced candidates New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams and Long Island Congressman Tom Suozzi.

Hochul has more than $21 million in her campaign warchest, she earned 85.6% of the weighted vote at the Democratic Party convention Thursday, she will likely still face primary challenges from Congressman Tom Suozzi and New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams.
