Operation Merry Christmas has placed more of their Christmas Trees in Area businesses, where people can take a tag off of the tree and return with the item requested on the tag. Program Spokesperson Dorene Ireland said that last year was one of the busiest years in the program's history:

The ceremony will be held at the James S. Moore Post 167, 4466 River Road in Downsville in the parking lot. State Police arrested 41 year old Thomas Moore of Sanford
for Aggravated Family Offense, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and
Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Moore is accused of getting into a domestic
on which resulted in a victim getting choked in the presence of children. Moore turned himself in to troopers, he was
taken to the Broome County Central Arraignment and Processing.

22 year old Cheyanne Moore of Norwich pleaded guilty in
Chenango County Court to 5th degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Moore had been arrested following a raid on
her Norwich apartment last December, where police confiscated several narcotics. Moore faces sentencing at a later date.

teenager from Sidney in the Oneonta, Davenport area Monday. 15 year old Joseph Riglioni was reported
missing on April 17th, he was located Monday evening, & has been returned
to his family.

Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle following a traffic stop on
in the Village of Sidney. Moore was also issued tickets for Unsafe Tire,
Unlicensed Operator, Uninspected Motor Vehicle, and Failure to Notify DMV of
Address Change. Moore was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to

child abuse in the Town of Davenport.
Deputies allege that Evans acted in a manner which was injurious to the
physical, mental, and moral welfare of a child less than 17-years-old. Evans was arraigned & was remanded to the
Delaware County Correctional on $5,000 cash bail, or $10,000 bond, pending
future court action.

County Sheriff’s Office for 1st degree Rape & 2nd degree Menacing. Sheriff’s Detectives arrested 20 year old
Lukest Wahlberg following an investigation into an alleged rape complaint.
Wahlberg is accused of forcibly holding down a female victim on 2 separate
occasions and raping her. On a separate day Wahlberg allegedly held a knife to
the female victim’s neck. Wahlberg was arraigned in the Town of North Norwich
Court where he was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on
$25,000 cash bail. Wahlberg is due back in court on a later date.

State Police responded to a 2-vehicle collision with injuries on State Route 23 in the town of Harpersfield. 56 year old Joseph Moore of Stamford failed to keep right and collided head on with a dump truck. Moore's vehicle came to rest in a ditch, the dump truck tipped over onto the passenger side. Moore sustained minor injuries and was taken to Bassett Hospital, front seat passenger, 80 year old Joseph Moore Jr., of Stamford was also taken to Bassett Hospital for minor injuries, backseat passenger 76 year old Erna Moore of Stamford, sustain serious injuries to her legs and body, she was airlifted to Albany Medical Center. The driver of the dump truck 33 year old Roland Birdsall of Stamford, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Bassett. The investigation by State Police is ongoing.

State Police at Oneonta arrested 30-year-old Randy Moore of Portlandville for 2nd degree Criminal Contempt, following an investigation into a complaint on State Route 28 in Portlandville. Moore was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable in the Town of Milford Court on December 18th; he was turned over to the City of Oneonta Police Department, for action on a City of Oneonta Court warrant of arrest.
The Federal Court of Appeals has upheld the convictions of 3 people who killed a Mohawk valley officer in 2006. The court decided today that to upheld the convictions of Toussaint Davis, Marion Pegese and Robert Ward for the 2006 death of New Hartford Police Officer Joseph Corr. The trio had argued that their case should be re-tried due to legal errors, the court decided otherwise.
