Binghamton Police responded Tuesday to a report of a male stabbed downtown, a 19-year-old male victim had sustained 2 significant stab wounds; one to his back and one in the upper leg, he was transported to a local hospital for treatment & emergency surgery. 2 suspects had fled the scene in a white sedan. 1 suspect was identified as 19 year old Christopher Ricketts of Binghamton, the 2nd suspect & driver of the vehicle in question was identified as 18 year old Jeremiah Coqmard of Johnson City. Both were charged with 1st degree Assault both were arraigned in Binghamton City Court and remanded to the custody of the Broome County Correctional Facility, anyone with information is asked to contact the Binghamton Police Detective Bureau by phone at 607-772-7080.

45 year old Jeremiah Johnson was convicted on burglary charges in Broome County Court for Burglary. Johnson entered a dwelling with the intent to commit a crime around August 9th, in the Town of Union. During the incident and investigation, Johnson fled from Broome County Sheriff’s Office Deputies to prevent them from arresting him. Johnson will be sentenced to 8 years in Prison to be followed by 5 years of Post-Release Supervision.

Broome County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol responded Saturday to a report of a burglary on Boswell Hill Road in the Town of Union. The homeowner spotted 2 individuals with flashlights inside his house with his home security camera system and called 911. Deputies, with State Police, located the 2 suspects, they fled into a wooded area, but were apprehended. Arrested were 43 year old Matthew Ortloff of Chenango Forks, & 45 year old Jeremiah Johnson of Endicott. The pair were charged with Burglary, Conspiracy, Possession of burglar tools, criminal mischief, along with seve4ral other related charges, they were arraigned and remain in custody at the Broome County Correctional Facility.

Toys for Tots works with the U.S. Marine Corps to provide a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas. The Toys for Tots program was created in 1947 and has distributed 584 million toys to date to 265 million children.

Otsego County Sheriff's Department arrested 41 year old Jeremiah Butler of the town of Maryland, following an investigation into a November 13th motor vehicle accident in the Town of Middlefield. Butler was charged with Felony DWI, operating a Motor Vehicle with a BAC of .08 of higher, failure to keep right, speed not reasonable & prudent along with other charges, Butler was released on an appearance tickets for Town of Middlefield Court at a later date.
Delaware County Public Health will be conducting a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for people 18 and older on Saturday, at the DCMO BOCES Harrold Campus. Police in Troy have released the names of the 4 victims in a quadruple homicide in a basement apartment. Police reported that the bodies of 5-year-old Shanise Myers, 11-year-old Jeremiah Myers, their mother 36 year old Shanta Myers and 22 year old Brandi Mells were found dead Tuesday afternoon, Police are trying to determine when the murders occurred and who committed the murders. Troy Police are receiving assistance from the State Police.

The Chenango County Sheriff’s department responded to a burglary in progress at 268 Round Pond Road in the Town of Smithville Thursday morning. A Sheriff’s Deputy and members of the Greene Police Department discovered a male suspect in the residence, at 11:15 AM, officers noticed smoke coming from the rear of the residence and called for fire department response. The suspect jumped through a window at the rear of the residence in an attempt to escape & suffered injuries. 26-year-old Adam King of Smithville was transported to Wilson Hospital in Johnson City; he was released to the custody of the Sheriff's department. The fire was caused extensive damage to the residence, & is considered to be a total loss. King was charged with 2nd degree Burglary, Arson & Criminal Mischief, and he was arraigned this morning in the Town of Smithville Court and was remanded to the Chenango County Jail on $100,000 cash bail.
The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported burglary Tuesday at the Canasawacta Country Club, a suspect had stolen cash and a golf cart; a second golf cart had been stolen previously. Deputies discovered a golf cart in a ditch in the area of Owens Road in Plymouth. 21 year old Jeremiah Garbett of Plymouth was arrested, The stolen cash and both stolen golf carts were recovered, Garbett was arraigned in the Town of Norwich Court and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $10,000 to reappear at a later date.

10 men were arrested Wednesday on federal charges of conspiring to distribute anabolic steroids and engage in international money laundering in Broome County. The defendants were arrested Wednesday morning in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Georgia and Delaware. The case is being prosecuted by the US Attorney’s office, 4 of the 10 arrested were picked up in Broome County Wednesday, they have been identified as 37 year old Richard Progovitz of Port Crane, 32 year old Derek Strassle of Endicott, 31 year old Paul Boylan of Endicott, & 33 year old Jeremiah O’Brien, of Binghamton.
State Police arrested 47 year old Thomas Jones of Binghamton, for driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation, & leaving the scene of a property damage accident, among other charges. The arrest occurred after troopers responded to a report of a property damage accident involving a red Ford F150 in the Town of Union, Prior to arriving, Jones had driven away in his pickup truck & struck another vehicle on Hooper Road in Endwell, and left the scene of that accident, he was located by the Johnson City Police & was eventuially arrested when the City of Binghamton Police followed him to his residence. Jones was arraigned & was remanded to the Broome County Jail on $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 property bond.
