24 year old Jarett Griffin of Walton appeared in Delaware County Court Tuesday, and was sentenced to 1 year of imprisonment for his conviction of Criminal Contempt. Griffin had previously pleaded guilty to Criminal Contempt on May 13, 2025, he had been issued a Stay Away Order of Protection from a protected party as a result of being arrested on stalking and harassment charges in May of 2024. In April Griffin made false accusations to that protected party’s employer in direct violation of the Court’s Order, he was indicted in Delaware County Court on April 24th.

24 year old Jarett Griffin of Walton was indicted for multiple counts of criminal contempt & harassment Griffin is accused of violating an order of protection, making false accusations to the protected party’s employer in violation of the Order of Protection, he also allegedly engaged in a course of conduct which repeatedly alarmed or seriously annoyed the protected party, he faces up to 1 year of in jail if found guilty,

Delaware County Sheriff's department announced the arrest 20 year old Jarett Griffin of Walton, following numerous complaints of roadside campaign signs being stolen. A State Forest Ranger patrolling the Steam Mill Forest in the Town of Masonville last week recovered more than 20 stolen campaign signs that were dumped on the state owned land.  Griffin was charged with petit larceny following an investigation and review of video surveillance images by Deputies and the candidate; he faces court action in Town of Walton Court at a later date.   The Sheriff's department encourages anyone witnessing the theft or destruction of campaign signs to report their observations to them, Delaware County Sheriff's Office.
