26 year old James Semidey was sentenced to prison Monday in
Otsego County Court, for his role in a May 2019 robbery & kidnapping of a
woman in Oneonta.  Semidey pleaded guilty
to 3rd degree attempted robbery, he will serve 1 to 3 years in state prison, he
had also pleaded guilty to attempted criminal possession of a controlled
substance & was sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison, and both sentences will
run concurrently.
Adirondack Films and Director Lori Bailey will hold an open

Masonic Lodge, 322 Main Street, Oneonta.

State Police arrested 41 year old Steven Sapinsky, of New Berlin, 26 year old Sabrina Gray of New Berlin & 30 year old James Bailey of West Edmeston, for Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine & Petty Larceny. Troopers responded to a report of shoplifting from the Dollar General on State Route 12 in the town of Norwich, and then driving away, the suspect vehicle was stopped & troopers accused the 3 of stealing items commonly used to manufacture meth. Sapinsky, Gray, and Bailey were arraigned & were remanded to the Chenango County jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $50,000 property bond. Their next court date is pending.

The Chenango county sheriff’s department arrested 3 people and 4th degree Grand Larceny and 5th degree Conspiracy.  Deputies responded to a Norwich business on March 3rd for a reported larceny in progress where 2 people left the business with TV’s without paying.  Charged were James Bailey and Jody Spencer of Utica and Judy Bailey of Waterville. All 3 were arrested in the City of Utica on active arrest warrants issued by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office. They were arraigned in the Town of Norwich court and remanded on cash bail, all face court actions shortly.
